Why Arsenal should be VERY wary about this bargain transfer!

It6 is easy to see why a lot of Arsenal fans would gladly take almost any central defender in the Premier League at the minute, because Arsene Wenger seems intent on persisting with the Spanish left back Nacho Monreal until our regular first choice Laurent Koscielny has got over the tendonitis in his ankles.

But there is a saying about if something is too good to be true, then it probably is not true. And I think this could apply to the Metro report that says that the Gunners have been told by our Premier League rivals Man City that for a paltry £5 million in transfer fees, they will sell us their young Serbian international defender Matija Nastasic.

If this was Chelsea I would suspect that Jose Mourinho was planning to string us on until the last day of the window and then pull the plug. Manuel Pellegrini does not work that way, but you have to wonder why they are prepared to take such a hit on the 21-year old they paid £15 million and a player to Serie A club Fiorentina for two years ago.

And you have to wonder what has happened to the player who looked pretty good in his debut season but has hardly featured since recovering from his injury problems last season. It is not as if the Man City defence has been doinhg great without him, so why would they risk helping out Arsenal, unless they know something we don’t. What do you think Gooners?

Another stupid irrelevant article about a player we don’t have when the problem this club clearly has is a completely dysfunctional manager!!!

Ozil just won a a Laureus award for helping 23 kids undergo surgery in Brazil, no one , not even our beloved Arsenal website is talking about this…

Schar has potential but he isn’t exactly dominating the Swiss leauge as many may think .

If nastasic is available then why not? Even a 6months loan would help us as he isn’t cup tired neither. What I’ve learned from this season is we need to find a replacement before letting players go preferably somone to improve the starting 11.

Eg if we told manolas or Sokratis to come before we got rid of vermaelen we could have included them in any potential deal eg vermaelen going Roma or Dortmund as part of the deal.

This January we have a similar oppurtunity with podolski we could use him to get somone like de bruyne or luiz gustavo from Wolfsburg. but would he want to go to another German club apart from koln? Alternatively I could see him doing well in France or Italy (inter,Napoli,Monaco, marsielle) all these team have arsenal targets littered within them (higuin, callejon, kondogbia, kovacic, gignac, ayew)

If Chelsea sell its because Maureen is hell bent on signing Varane (who I’d be over the moon to try and sign, word is he’s unhappy at Madrid) and needs the cash and place in the team. Of course there’s also a rumor Maureen wants to sign Bale. FFP be damned.

Arsenal should look at Varane if he’s really interested in leaving Madrid or Fabian Schar. Longshots would be Vlaar (inconsistent) or Van Dijk (young, very Promising but inexperienced)

Your making yourself sound stupid how many French do we have in the squad ? Kosc, diaby, sanogoo, coqulan, giroud of those 1 is from the lower leauge who came with a big youth international reputation in sanogo 30 international goals allready. Yes he hasn’t found his feet yet but he has a good future ahead.

As for varane I think he would choose chelsea over us anyways, as he worked with mourinho before and he has a French youngstar like zouma to develop the next big partnership at the bridge.

Arsene Wenger had: Sol Campbell/Bould/Adams, you’re telling me we can’t bring these guys in to teach our academy guys or say if we buy a nastastic???

This tells me AW doesn’t like any of the old guys coming in to do anything and he wants to be the one there at all times in charge of EVERYTHING!!

I think Varane, Nastasic & Schar would be a good addition in january window. In summer, we require exodus and clean up old boots like Per, rosicky, arteta, flamini and podolski. Opinions divided.

i think a new manager would be the most important addition we could make in the jan window.

Per and arteta still have a role to play. we should let go of diaby and let Flamini see out his contract he as done well since his return>In the summer we buy a top def mid.

Rosicky game time has deminished so if he doesn’t get surfice time he should also be released or sold in January 2-4m >>>grenier or tulisca

Poldi should be sold in January 8-11m >>>pedro

In summer, new manager and new players. Simeone, pep or klopp better options. Players to be come in Varane(if missed out in jan window), Dani Alves, Alcarez, Schurrle, pogba ,Khedira and Casillas. we can still have jenko coming in. let us give some time to campbell and bellerin. I hope that would make sense.

One thing the anti Wenger must go should realise is, should the boss be forced to leave Arsenal. His leaving may not qauranttee a big success for Arsenal by the incoming new manager. Because Arsenal will enter into a transition period and the new hurriedly recruited manager may not be successful at Arsenal. Even if he has succeeded or is succeeding at another club. Still, that wouldn’t qauranttee us success. So we should be very thoughtful in our agitation. I think the boss should see out his 3 years contract extension and may be extend it further, I am positive the boss will soon win another trophy or even Trophies to quieten us. Natastic must have been a good player. If not Man City wouldn’t have signed him. But in addition to our current 6 defenders, we also have 4 other upcoming 3 young defenders in the persons of Bellerin, Ajayi and Hayden in the marking. I don’t know what position is Natastic playing in the back four. However, is only the boss can decide whether Arsenal need him or not. But Arsenal need to sign-on Chris Smalling as soon as the January window is open. Since Koscielny is often Achilles and Mertesacker is getting slower, the boss must standardly upgrade his CBs positions.

Our coaching team needs revamping there are too many coaches at arsenal who are outdated and not good enough for a top class team Tom pavey at Southampton is a world class coach he is very good @att,def,technique would he not jump at the chance to coach a top team? Even Sunderland have a better coaching staff with two world leading coaches.

Our first team coach is very good at Attack and technical training but having a more well rounded coach will help us to drastically improve we can’t just say wenger out when the foundation under him isn’t up to scratch
