Why Arsenal simply will NOT get Fabregas from Chelsea…..

Ever since reports emerged claiming that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will look to off-load Cesc Fabregas this summer, Arsenal fans have to taken to social media to urge the Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger to re-sign the club’s former skipper as the North London side prepare to go into their first season without Champions League football under Wenger.

Now there can be no denying that Fabregas would be a great signing for Arsenal. Despite being out of favour at Stamford Bridge last season, the Spaniard looked good in the few games he did manage to feature in, creating plenty of chances. Still at 29 years of age, the former Arsenal midfielder does seem to have a good few years ahead of him as well.

But unfortunately, I just do not see this one happening. The first reason I would state would be the severed ties he has with the club and with Wenger after controversially leaving for Barcelona, a time in which he was so desperate to leave that he paid a bit of the transfer fees from his own pocket. In addition, the player is unlikely to be willing to play in the Europa League with Arsenal, especially considering that he does not have too much time at the highest level.

Finally, and most significantly, Fabregas has two years left to run on his contract with Chelsea and the Blues will simply not sell to Arsenal. So while I would absolutely love to have him back, the reality of the situation is that it is simply not possible.

  1. Could overmars still do a job for us.
    He still looks sprightly!

We missed the boat (again) on fabregas. Should have taken up 1st option on him when he returned.

Still water under a ‘bridge’ and all that..

  2. I wouldn’t mind Cesc, but we need pace in central midfield. Xhaka isn’t the quickest, so you need pace, and mobility to make up for that as Xhaka will probably be a regular next season. Matic is slow, but Kante’s pace helped their partnership shine.

  3. Who? ??The traitor! ??You want him to come back to Arsenal to teach Bellerin the art of leaving without leaving? ?

    Fabregas’s top 5 Tips:

    1) always call Wenger daddy & regularly state to the media that he is like a father figure.
    2) make sure that your future Barcelona teammates know your shirt size, for that special gang bang moment, You want to look good, right?
    3) make sure to fake injuries when Barcelona come knocking, let the team get used to playing without you.
    4) always say that you love Arsenal and living in London, the fans are suckers for that ??.
    5) send your family back home then claim that you miss them so much, that ? always works.

  4. Conte telling the press that cesc is still in his plan so would seem like an unlikely transfer. Liked cesc but his has had his time

  5. I have no hatred for Cesc like I do for Ashley, RVP, Nasri

Having Ozil, Cazorla, Xhaka and Fabregas would be amazing actually

But it’s not going to happen I’m afraid

    1. Cesc forced his way out. Wenger said before Cesc transfer that he believed Cesc had already agree’d to join Chelsea, spurning AFC a 2nd time.

RvP, I will not sign unless you show ambition… Seen Giroud and I wonder what he thought about our ambition? He made a threat, he kinda had to see it through like a real man.

I kinda respect RvP for trying to force AFC to show ambition.
I can not say Cesc is a better person than RvP because he was always flirting with Barca and forced a move and made it known it was only Barca so we couldn’t even start a bidding war 🙁 RvP wanted to win stuff and wanted AFC to show ambition.

  6. And pundits laugh @ the state of Arsenal FC, can u honestly blame them?

After a historic year of underachieving the board and our celebrated owner emphatically reward our French leader by extending his contract 2 years and predictably aquiesce when confronted with Wengers opposition to change.

Arsenals best player is pleading for the club to let him go to one of our rivals, seemingly rejecting a club record raise in weekly wages. Sell to rival, or let go on the cheap next year, brilliant work by the Three Musketeers.

Le Prof campaigns openly about his 24 hour a day commitment to the transfer window and his quest to sign only Top, Top players to supliment his already WC squad? Which of the following fall into that WC category?
    Walcott
    Jack W
    Gibbs
    Gabriel
    Coquelin
    Debuchy
    Giroud
    Welbeck
    Ramsey
    Mustafi

Ozil, although a fantastic player on his day is allowed through contractual leverage to hold Arsenal ransom and demand a ludicrous pay raise far surpassing his recent influence on the pitch. Sanchez part 2, although his current suitors are few and far between.

Fans clamoring for Wenger to bring back an aging former player who screwed over the club to orchestate a triumphant return to his childhood club.

The list goes on and on and the Club I cherish continues to be punchline on the World football schene.

  7. Sign him up and when can cazorla is fit leave him to rot in reserves use him in the way he used arsenal #judas

  8. When Cesc came back from Barcelona …. he was so keen to play for Arsenal again that he came to the training ground uninvited ….. to show his enthusiasm. Wenger said No …. Wenger’s Law.

    1. Yeah right! When he was still under contract with Barca at the time, it’s like saying Sanchez showed up at the Man. City training ground uninvited, right?
