Why Draxler for Alexis transfer swap is TRIPLE boost for Arsenal

I reckon that most Arsenal fans have given up any hope that there will be a change of mind from our Chile international star and that the Gunners will soon have to cope without the services up front of Alexis Sanchez. Whether that is to be from next summer or a bit earlier is another matter.

There is an Arsenal transfer rumour in the Daily Star this week, however, which says to me that it would be a much better move for Arsenal to get shot of Sanchez in the January transfer window rather than stubbornly hanging onto him and seeing him leave for nothing at the end of the season.

If that happened we would still need to find a replacement and anyone with the ability would not come cheap, so this report that claims there could be a transfer swap on the cards with PSG for their German international Julian Draxler would fix that problem and kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

It would also keep Alexis out of the clutches of our direct Premier League rivals, most notably Man City, and there could even be a third plus point to this deal, as bringing in Draxler may just help to persuade his international teammate Mesut Ozil to stay with Arsenal and see what they can do in the middle of the park on a club level.

Come on Arsene, get on this transfer swap will you?

Bob.

Knowing Wenger by history… I doubt this swap deal will happen. Wenger lost so many top class players we could’ve gotten in the past, all because he’s deluded and thinks every of his actions is the right one.
In bid to prove he’s right to stick to his philosophies instead of adapting, he’s always ending up shooting himself in the foot.

Besides with the way PSG have been, I don’t think Sanchez would be any improvement to that squad.
I DO WANT DRAXLER AT ARSENAL.
    so
I’m hoping for the best to come out of it but expecting the worst

A player swap deal won’t b it at all for Wenger. He is probably going to b wanting Draxler plus Lucas Moura plus £20m for Sanchez to even commence talks.

Then it’s about time the stupid american/stan got involved more, he must see it makes financial sense getting rid of Sanchez in January for some money/bucks than letting him walk for a freebie, he is a business man so start doing some business, if Wenger don’t like it tell him to consentrate on the playing side and leave the money matters to his master/stan or walk away!

PSG if they sell Draxler are more
likely to use the money to get
    22 year old Thomas Lemar..

I am sure Arsene will get the best out of Draxler. He has a long history of success in making players perform beyond themselves

Opinions divided. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 16

And like they frustrated Shevcheko, Debruine , Salah out of Chelsea and they became better elsewhere. Anyways, AW sure made Sanchez better….and Bellerin…Henry, RVP., Adebayo, Nasri, Sagna, Clichy, Ashley Cole….those guys became better under AW. It doesnt matter the number of thumbs down, you guys cannot erase history and the excellent work of AW.

Bentley, Pennant (he looked really good as a youngster until Wenger started coaching), Boa Morte, Owusu-Adeyie, Almunia, Eboue, Traore, Vela, Campbell, Silvestre, Santos, Sanogo, Perez,
Sorry I could not resist adding to the names that Wenger either coached the talent out of promising players or players he should not have bought for Arsenal and failed badly. Overall I count 39.

Oh yes? Evidence please, over the last decade? Wenger regularly regresses players, plays them out of position, subs them when he shouldn’t -example Lacazette – does not pick them when he should, example Wilshere for the last month in the Prem; keeps duds at the club for years eg Walcotts; cannot motivate the team to try full out every game. And while I am at it can you show me your “vanpayslip ” is not funded by Wenger. I always mistrust people who hide behind made up names and have not the guts to put their own true thoughts out there, in their own name, to be shot at. Makes me think that have something to hide, from their friends or people who personally know them. I find they they often have. Have the guts to be real. IF you are!

I do not understand what southgate means by saying wilshere cannot be picked because he is not playing for arsenal, Just because he is not running around the pitch for full 90mins like an headless chicken showing some stupid work ethics and doing nothing ( typical English football). If you know anything about football, you will realise wilshere is just getting into it now- a brilliant, matured central midfielder. Jack ha played some matches this season and he is absolutely physically and match fit. Take a cue from Germany, gundogan has just recovered from a serious long term injury and is not even in city’s first team but still gets a call up because these players are absolutely top quality when they are available. I have a feeling jacks decision will at the end bite southgate on the bum.

You forget to mention the scorpion king who is in the same situation with Jack but was called by French team and played full 90mins.

This is pure fantasy, it is in The Star after all. With only a few months left on his contract Sanchez has 100% decision on where he goes and for how much. It is the worst kept secret that he is going to Man City.
So with Sanchez (& Ozil) contract’s near the end and therefore their worth massively reduced are Wenger and Gadzidis likely to spend £60milon Draxler and £90 mil on Lemur and another £50 mil to fix the defense? I don’t think so.

You lot seem to forget that Sanchez has all the cards, there’s not much you can do if he doesn’t what to join psg.

Swap Draxler and buy Lucas 18 millions.. If ozil goes too, get ben harfa who is hungry angry as we need and can bring that spark magic we don’t have as goals and assists. Surprising idea but Ben Harfa is top class, when he finally got canalised by Puel, matured late obviously but finally did. 18 goals and 13 assist as a result that season. If he takes it from there, gets his fitness 6 weeks. Mid february he would help finish season full speed .. Ben Harfa pb been maturity, education issue. Wenger would have him fly. He is top5 world in term of talent. That will secure CLF 3rd place. PSG releases him and be happy to snatch sanchez while getting rid of players.

Bob, Your article assumes that Gooner’s WANT Ozil to stay. Personally, I DON’T . IT IS CLEAR HE HAS THE SAME HEART AS WALCOTT; THAT OF A PEA. Talent without desire is a complete waste.
