Will Arsenal take Napoli striker on loan?

Arsenal are definitely in the market for a new striker this January, and Arsene Wenger is known to like a bargain, but the Chilean international, Eduardo Vargas, will hardly set Arsenal fan’s pulses racing if he is the man who comes to the Emirates to boost our goal threat. THe 23-year old has not had the impact expected since he signed for Napoli a year ago. The Serie A side have offered to loan him to the Gunners in an attempt to get his form and career back on track, but do we really want that sort of player?

Wenger has a great record of getting the best out of players, but we need an instant impact, especially with some vital matches on the horizon. Vargas was a Chelsea target when Napoli paid around £12 million for him, but he has scored just three goals this season, all in one match in the Europa league.

He often plays as a winger or second striker and that is a position where we have quite a few options already. I suppose if Arshavin leaves then there may be space for him, but I will be seriously underwhelmed if Vargas is one of the players brought in during this transfer window, unless he is one of many.

Players used out of position by Wenger
    Arteta(More defensive role)
Cazorla(He used to play in the wings)
    Ramsey
Gervinho(Left wing instead of Right wing)
Gibbs (Started as winger and central midfielder)
    Podolski(Better as a forward)
Arshavin(Should have been played in the centre or at right wing)
Theo Walcott( Was a striker but he is better at Wings)

I actually like how transfer is going at the moment. Djourou and Chamakh look like they won’t return in 6 months (I hope) and Denilson is wanted in Brazil. We’ll eventually find new homes for Arshavin, Bendtner, Squid and Santos, then Arsenal will have so much more squad space. It’s virtually impossible to buy new players before we let a few go. This is a good sign that Wenger will definitely buy. The more that go out, increases the chances of more coming in.

As others are moaning about the lack of activity, I think Wenger’s been ultra busy. Remember last summer when we couldn’t sell our deadwood? There’s no better time to burn some deadwood in winter, in which Wenger has managed to feed the fire with two logs already. Instead of blasting him, at least give him some credit for trying to improve the squad. There’s 2/3 of the month to go. Be patient!

Loaning out Chamakh and Djorou was a good idea ….judging from the lack of playtime they players value was low….so if they do performce by chance good the possebility is high that the clubs will pay reaseable money for them or Arsenal will take them back according how they performe…..so all the luck to them as this can only benefit us as a club and ofcourse the players themself…….Ramsey should be loaned ou to in my openion

We were after Vargas over a year ago. He is currently in a position where Cavani is going off like a boiling kettle, synonymous with Chamakh behind RVP. Vargas however is a player of gret potential. I believe the Italian game doesn’t suit him as the EPL will. He a typical South American player with pace, trickery and technical ability. Something which Theo Walcott lacks, yet we are quick to call Vargas a flop and not Theo! I just don’t get it. Gooners should learn to properly analyse a player’s ability and not just rely on media sources to brainwash your judgement. He’s at least an upgrade over Chamakh. He provides more mobility and dashing runs into the box. I think he would be a hit with the fans if given the opportunity and time. He can be our new Eduardo. The only problem I have with Vargas’ move is Arsenal must include an option to buy at the end of the loan deal, that is of course provided that we can’t get him permanently first.

vargas isnt the player we need he is decent player overall but not much different from chamberlin. his main attributes are his lightening quick and he has good balance and movement. he has good ball control and dribbling and is a great future prospect in the aguero mould. from what ive seen so far in the market where after a pacey poacher. what does this mean with walcotts deal?? hope he signs but we still need another striker. personaly i want to see experience added to this side between now and summer we have the ingredients to be great but lack xp it would be intresting aquireing xp players like;villa, lampard, cole, sneidjer, ferdinand, drogba, llorente who are free agents or have a low market value. they would add experience and know how to the team. aswell commiting the rest of there career to get our team to were it should be.

You are right from what i have seen from vargas in the
Seria A, i think he would be a signing that might light the premier league just like Cisse did when he arrived in january. Eduardo looks technically good and skillful with a trickery in his play just like Aguero but fans fall to realize that Aguero, tevez, ibrahimovic etc were all prospect ones and actually attained their status in world football. I would be happy if we got eduardo with an option to buy after the loan spell.

I want Arsenal to get value for their money and we should not be ripped on Villa by Barca. Why have our minds been shifted to a striker?

Wenger should be talking with actions about a CDM, Lt winger and Lt back and if possible central defender like Mbiwa.Any talk of a striker is an added advantage. This group of players will allow the likes of Carzola to stay upfront and feed the strikers.

Podolski, Walcott and Giroud can be very lethal strikers they need to fed well with balls. They can be rotated frequently which will create competition among them.

Wenger should try Malaga on ISCO who is an excellent midfielder and might come cheaper than others due the financial constraints in the club.

Best Description of what Wenger has turned our Arsenal to.

A team that sells its best player to the rival hoping that they can still use his genius to beat them with second fiddle playaz.
A team that aims only for a champions league spot with no ambition for a trophy.
A team that raises stars for the BIG and the best team to buy for some f**kin fat $$$.
A team that is only good for free style football comics and theatrics with wonderful, exceptional performances from the likes of super Ramsey, flamboyant Gervinho, Lethal Squilacci, deadly Chamakh not to mention the best striker in the world Bendtner.
A team that buys stars only to turn them to laughing stocks and nothing but flops like Arshavin.
A team that plays players out of possession always and is always doing positional rehearsals during games when other teams are looking for wins.
A team that has one and only one predictable style of play.
A team that claims to be a BIG Gun but always struggles in the transfer market to get playaz. (wonder if we really have any scouts.) Why do the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool pull off their signings far too easily. They have already signed Ba and Sturridge respectively who have already won them games. They had identified the areas that needed strengthening way b4 the transfer window opened and acted spot on.
This list is endless but I’ve got to pause.

I have never seen him play but one thing i do know is that some Chilean players over the years were very capable of playing Barcalonaesc football up there with the best of them.

Cant believe this Theo deal is still dragging on, im sure its having an affect on transfer targets. Wenger must be looking at players who could work with our current ones but if Theo goes that all changes as hell have to replace Theo then look at a player who could work best with the new fella.

Point of correction! they are not in the market for any striker. Why? you may ask, because AW is not in the market and if Wenger is not in the market then Arsenal is not in the market. Those who are in the market have started buying. whether it is Ed. Vargas, Lorrente, Lopez, D. Villa, M’Villa or Bilglia, the out dated and acclaimed prof is not buying. You see, one thing is that the mad man that is recklessly and carelessly walking naked in the street dosent mind if he is subjecting his family, friends and associates to untold shame and riddicle. That is the madness we are suffering in the hands of Kronke, Gazidis and Wenger. Dont worry yourself the saga of Walcot will linger on untill when the young man sees that Wenger is not bringing in any quality player he will opt out and that is what wenger and the board want, the money from his sale and then he will tell us that Walcot wants to move on, he couldnt resist the offer of playing for Man U., Man Shitty or even Chelsea. See how he has succeeded in turning Arsenal to be loathsome even to Arsenal players. what a shame!

Yeah guys, even Sao Paulo (my team from Brazil) knows that he doesnt worth too much money and my team just wants to close a loan for a year for a miserable price, one million euros, so if even my stupid chairman knows that, you guys dont have to worry i believe that Wenger wont do anything crazy like ask to buy him. We just want him because we sold Lucas Moura (i bet you guys have no idea who´s him, but ok) to PSG (only miserable 43 million euros) and Lucs left a blank and we need to fill that blank with Vargas because he has the same skills of Lucas (he is not good as Lucas, but Vargas has his qualities).

So, in sum, Wenger should forget about him and let he signs with my team (Sâo Paulo). You guys dont need him, first, because you guys already have many options on your team and also because you guys can find a better player in Europe lol. So dont worry my stupid chairman will free you guys of this clock bomb called Vargas. Note: Arsenal, whats going on with you? wanting the same player of a south american team? thats funny! whats happening with the world?! hahaha
