Wilshere’s Bournemouth stun Liverpool to keep Arsenal 2nd

For Arsenal fans it is not only our on loan midfield star Jack Wilshere that has many of us keeping an eye on the performances and results of AFC Bournemouth this season, as their young English manager Eddie Howe has been touted as one the potential candidates to take over from Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman finally decides to call it a day.

Many Gooners and people in the football media feel that the chances of Wenger stepping down at the end of the current season will be much bigger if the Frenchman can guide the Gunners to another Premier League title so if Howe is in the frame he did his chances of thr move no harm today, as his side did us a huge favour by beating Liverpool.

Klopp’s team were looking set for another easy win at 2-0 up but Wilshere and the Cherries showed great fight and no little style by coming back to 3-3 down with just injury time left. Even that would have been enough to see Arsenal stay second in the table, if only on goal difference, but the home team were not done and they stunned the scousers with a late winner.

That will have dented their confidence as well as halting their momentum and costing them valuable EPL points and that can only be good for Arsenal. Wilshere played well again and if he keps it up I can see him back at the Emirates next year. But has he just helped to ensure that he will be coming back to the champions of England?

  1. Loan was definitely a great idea. At Bournemouth he’s getting consistent playing time and that’s exactly what he needs. Maybe he could’ve played in Cazorla role that we are lacking right now, but I like him playing every game and rejuvenating his career away from Arsenal for a season. It seems to have done a world of good. Baffling how the minute he leaves us, he can play 90 minutes again and all of a sudden isn’t made of glass…. :/

  2. Well that was a relief. Ake is definitely one for the future. Wilshire played well when shifted to CM in 2nd half. I think we should let welbz and perez go n buy callum Wilson, his fighting spirit is on par with Alexis. After all what has welbz n perez done for us.

Wenger: We’re happy to welcome Wilshere back. He’ll give us little bit more quality in the final third. I’ve always said if he can stay fit, he’s a very important player to us.
Wilshere: Now that I’ve got my fitness back, I’m eager to help Arsenal win the league. I’m Jack and I’m happy to be back.

      1. Way too many imbeciles have no clue about the team they pretend supporting. Hope you are not too surprised.

    1. He doesn’t ask his team to sit back. That was why they won.
The same way they played us.
At unexpected 3-3 you would have expected all the players to be around their 18 with few minutes left, but the man and the team like football and they were rewarded.
I would not mind him here in some roles.

  4. Everton just drew within minutes of FT lol
Mourinho still won’t be in CL next season hopefully lol

  5. Oh u seriously thumbed ? my earlier comment .
How many of u still want Welbz n perez in our current team. Where would they even fit?

    1. @Theophilus
You must be kidding. Danny is a fighter. Would rather have him on the wing than Ox or Iwobi, because he gets stuck in defensively as well as offensively. As far as Lucas is concerned, he hasn’t had a full run of matches with the 1st squad. But, going by his movement, I would rather have him on the wings also instead of the other guys we have there now. He’s another battler we need up top to physically take on defenders and create goals from nothing…

  6. meanwhile the best team just drew against everton … i bet they couldn’t score more because the grass was a shade more greener at the goodison

  7. for the people who complained about our 3-1 win over bournemouth last week, once more i have to remind them there is no easy games in this league as liverpool,s loss shows us so please be happy with the 3 pts when we win!!
