Jack Wilshere has moved to heap praise on new Arsenal team-mate Alexandre Lacazette, describing him as a ‘dream’ to play alongside.
The striker joined the Gunners for a club record fee this summer, and has already hit the ground running. Lacazette has scored four goals in his opening eight appearances, and is already settling well in North London.
Wilshere has now claimed that his appearances have gone somewhat unnoticed due to Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata’s impressive start elsewhere, but expects the Frenchman to build on his initial start.
Jack said: “I think he’s gone a little bit under the radar with Morata doing so well.
“But to come in from the French league to a big club in England and score four goals in his first seven or eight games is very good.
“He’s doing well and he’s only going to get better. His movement is world class and, for a midfielder, that’s what you want from your striker.
“He nearly scored against Brighton in the first minute and that could have been goal of the season.
“Sometimes he comes to feet and then he can go in behind as well. I’m sure there’s much more to come.”
Lacazette is already showing to be a shrewd signing, and in time I believe he will be able to challenge the likes of Morata, Lukaku and Kane for the PL Golden Boot.
Has Morata overshadowed Lacazette’s arrival? Does Alex deserve the ‘world class’ tag just yet? Can Wilshere and the striker go on to form an amazing partnership for Arsenal?

Lacazetteeeeeeeeeeeeeee will hopefully fire us to the title and make sanchez stay with us
Genuinely world class. I can see why so many top clubs were after him.
Arsenal was the only club wanted him.At madrid never really wanted to sign him.they have always been after Costa
PSG – doesn’t get any bigger than that
morata isnt half the player costa is. laccazatte is far better than giroud.we r the gainer
Giroud >>> Costa
Lacazettes movement and finishing is something we have been missing for years. Hopefully he can build on the 4 goals already scored and become the world class striker we have been craving.
I laugh my ass out when someone say Morata is a world class player and Lacazette isn’t I think I need definition to world class… I believe in Lacazette with time you will see the goal beast we’ve bought
