Would Arsenal really allow Bellerin to leave this summer?

Hector Bellerin has been strongly linked with the Arsenal exit door following his rapid emergence within the first-team, and this summer window is not expected to be any different.

The speculation regarding his future is already being thrown about, and the latest claims are that he would consider a move away should Arsene Wenger leave his post in charge.

The papers are now insisting that Bellerin is not so keen on a potential return to Barcelona in the coming window, having watched his international compatriot Cesc Fabregas fail to live up to the dream return following his previous emergence from the Arsenal ranks in a similar fashion to Hector’s.

As much as they make this out to be good news for us, they then move to talk up a possible switch to Manchester City instead, which would see him join former Barca boss Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens have also been strongly linked with a move to sign the Spain international, while there have also been claims that they had even enquired about his signing previously.

The huge standing block for any potential suitors will be the fact that we managed to tie our huge asset down to a new five-year contract earlier this season, and that gives us a huge advantage in any form of negotiation.

Stan Kroenke has widely been criticised for his business mentality in making a profit, so it would be adventurous to deny that there was zero chance of us selling, but surely his worth to our team is more than £50 Million, and demanding that sort of fee for a full-back would be a record for his position.

Should Arsenal sell for £50+ Million? Could we really sell despite his new long-term contract?

  1. If he leaves its not the end of the world (as long as we get a good price and we get someone of equal ability)
However, Ideally I want him to stay because he is Premier League proven and part of Arsenal
    and a fantastic defender.
There is no guarantee we will find or get a player of the same quality

So, hopefully we do everything we can to get Bellerin to stay. We are better with him
Also we need to find a back up RB

For me the most crucial player to keep is Alexis

  2. for a lot of money he can go, we can pay the right price as well for Spurs right back, Walker, the guy is good, I just hate to see Jeckinson replacing him, will be a step down

  3. COMMENT: Would Arsenal really allow Bellerin to leave this summer?

RESPONSE: Haven’t we done worse? Henry, Fabregas, Nasri, RvP…? It’s a long list.

  4. Bellerin won’t leave YET.
He still has a reason to stay at the club. Once he learns his trade enough to step up, he’ll leave. So I’d give him 2-4 more seasons at the club.

  5. I also read that Bellerin wants to join Man city.. ..if not because of injury Debuchy is a far fantastic and better player any day. His crosses are awesome and he can dribble. It’s a pity that the arsenal medical team could not help him. Bellerin should learn to be loyal else he will regret in future the way Fabregas wanted his way back to Arsenal.
