Zlatan sending out MASSIVE green light for Arsenal transfer?

He could hardly give Arsenal a bigger come on unless he was pictured eating Arsenal themed chocolate in a red and white top while holding on to a picture of Arsene Wenger while having GTID tattooed onto his knuckles, but will that be enough to actually see Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing for Arsenal next season?

I certainly hope so and Arsene Wenger needs to know that his usual ‘oh there is nobody out there’ line will not wash after the PSG and Sweden star stepped up his apparent courtship of the Gunners this week. We have been hearing for weeks about the big and brilliant striker’s possible move from the French champions when the current season ends.

And he went one step further last week when he declared that he would not be playing another season for his current club, so after letting it be known that he fancied a stint in the Premier League, the options were narrowed down massively about his next club.

That still did not get the message out sufficiently though, so according to the Daily Mail Ibrahimovic has now done the football equivalent of grabbing hold of Arsene Wenger’s head in a headlock and rubbing his knuckles across the Frenchman’s forehead while shouting ‘hello’. It seems he has let it be known that he would like to spend next season in London!

What more do you need Arsene? Would this one marquee transfer not only give the Gunners a great chance of being Premier League champions again, but stop all the calls from the Arsenal fans for Wenger to step down?

  1. Zlatan want to win trophies so he will not join Arsenal, as simple as that …
    OT:
I hope to see more banners at Everton towards both the board and the manager …

    1. i’d Love to see a quote from Zlatan that suggests he’s sent green Lights to the Library L()L
      .

Otherwise its all media BS and there are many beautiful places he could rather go

    2. and if this Transfer Bs is true, Wenger may finally have his wish

      .

ZLATAN ON TRIAL or FOR FREE! hahaha

  2. Protest when the season’s over. Don’t disrupt games when Arsenal are still fighting for the title.
You a making a self-fulfilling prophecy, coz the more you moan about the team, the worse they play.

    1. When the season will be over, AW will leave and go comment the EURO 2016, so i don’t think he’ll be aware of the fans protest a that point. So i don’t really think there is a right moment to show that banner.

    2. When the season it’s over AW won’t be here to acknowledge the fans anger; he’ll be in france commenting the EURO 2016. So i don’t really think there is a proper timeto show the banner

    3. “the more you moan, the worse they play”

      Hahaha

      .
Yes fans (with their hard earned money ,time and devotion) deserve to take the blame for their performances on the pitch

      .
      {After more than a decade of folding the arms and watching things fall apart}

        1. Obviously people who don’t realise the importance of good or great support. Dortmund get it. Liverpool get it. Galatasaray get it.

Even when we had the Invincibles, liv could be a tough nut to crack at times. The fans would ping up the hairs on those boys necks, so much so that they would try run through brick walls, instead of being frightened at the obvious divide in class. I think their fans also deserve some credit for liv’s CL trophy.

Galatasaray, it’s a horrible place to go, most teams find it difficult. Why do you think that is, not the players I would say. More like how their fans push the players on and boo/hiss the away side off the pitch. They beat us to a European trophy, even with the gulf in class, but all I can remember is those horrible fans. Dortmund, brilliant support, a truly difficult place to go.

Support is huge in football, you (soopa) often enough point to how their would be no Arsenal without the fans. But then scoff too easily at the thought of support making any difference? Go figure.

          1. If you don’t show them that they play rubbish on the pitch, they won’t hear you when they are at home taking selfies. Do your boss wait till it’s the end of the year to tell you that you’ve been performing below average from the 2nd month? No, they call you and tell you right away so that you start doing things right

If they play bad and the fans applause them, they’ll think what they did was very good, and they’ll keep doin that, but if you show them that they are underperforming in one match, obviously they’ll improve in the next ones. So yes, boo them, fans’ voices should be heard and we wanna see a reactions from them

    4. Those who talk about protesting arent talking about the players, theyre talking about the Kroenke. I find it hard to see how protesting against the board influences the players. Don’t really think the players focus that much on what’s on the stands either…

  3. 1) His best years are soon over
    2) How much are u gonna fork out to get him and how much is he going to earn at Arsenal?
    3) is he coming on another TriaL?
    4) Don’t waste ur time…..forget the whole idea

    1. 1) Not so sure about that. This season is his BEST ever. He could give out a one solid season still.
      2) He’s a free agent in the summer. So zero. His wages? High sure, but I get the picture that he wants to win in England, no matter what. So I don’t think getting paid is what he’s looking for because after that one season, he’s off to MLS to earn BIG BUCKS.
      3) Only Arsene knows LOL!
      4) I think it’s an option. Temporarily. Bring in a young striker (Milik, Lukaku?) and get them comfortable playing striker for Arsenal as well. IF they struggle, we can use Zlatan.

This would mean the end of Giroud, but I would be fine with that. He’s not gonna get any better and we can still get good price for him.

      1. The biggest obstacle is Wenger’s arrogance.

Zlatan has a huge ego, he’s cocky but in a good way. His confidence is over the roof, something our players most certainly lack.

Question remains: are their combined egos too big to share in one locker room?

        1. Yep, that’s why RVP, Nasri, Henry, Vieira all left, they had the ego to rely on their own ability to win games when things weren’t going our way. Wenger doesn’t like that because he only wants “yes men”, it’s why you see Campbell on the bench and Sanchez never playing as a CF, it’s why you never see leaders on the pitch when we badly need one. Which kind of manager would make Arteta and Vermalean club captain ? Now he’s trying to make Walcott one, absolutely ridiculous. His whole concept of “unity” is beyond delusion as Leicester and Tottenham have proven unity alone won’t take you to the top, we need players who can produce their own magic and not always rely on others that only turn up once every 10 games.

  4. Break the bank for the following players. Lukaku, Mahrez, Reus, Lars Bender and Stones.

Lukaku – Been scoring goals for fun at a mid level club. Just imagine what he could do with Ozil behind him.

Mahrez – His stats and performance say enough. He is hungrier and more consistent than Walcott.

Reus – No explanation needed. Can play LW, RW, midfield.

Lars Bender – If we are saying goodbye to Arteta and Flamini, we need replacement. Coquelin and Elneny look solid, but Bender is tough as nails and can play holding, defensive and box to box if needed.

Stones – Young and commanding CB, would be excellent replacement for aging and slow Mertesacker.

We can sell Walcott, Chamberlain, Wilshere and the others to fund these moves. In my opinion our squad will be improved immensely.

      1. I don’t think Mahrez is a good idea unless he is going to be Ozil’s back up. You/we cant have them two on the field at the same time.

    1. Instead of overpriced Mahrez (who I think will move to La Liga), we should take a look at Hakim Ziyech from Twente. Very similar to Mahrez, tearing up Eredivisie. Like half of his goals are outside the box, which is impressive.

Also instead of Bender, I’d go for Krychowiak.

Add in Chilwell for free to fill in the English quota and we are set.

However, best we can get is another wonder kid whom no one has never heard of. Maybe resign Eboue as well.

      1. He is rubbish though. Atleast Ramsey has played some good games for Arsenal, and is earning less whilst playing better. Wilshere, doesn’t even come to some of the home matches, is injured majority of the time and earns over 90k a week. When he is fit he will core a great goal against poor opposition, have 2 good games, the rest bad before he gets injured again whilst trying to run the all into the net.

  5. Wenger ” Arsenal don’t need better striker’s”

Here we go again and there’s not even a transfer window in sight! ??

Yes… Ibrahimovic wants London and I’m sure that Chelsea will be his prefered destination…. Wait and see.

As for Arsenal, we need a manager that will motivate his team throughout the season and not just when the 4th spot becomes in danger of being lost!

  6. who would break that bank?…………… Wenger?

Umar sadiq, soufiane boufal and the likes are ur men under wenger L()L

  7. First, don’t get too excited. Yo will be setting yourself up for disappointment
When season ticket renewal rolls around Wenger, Gazidas, Kronke, Lord Harris will talk about a HUGE war chest lol. Remember Wenger and Kronke are one in the same. They have the same philosophy and are very fond of each other

2nd. Remember Last summer Wenger did something unheard of. He did not sign a single outfielder let alone a top quality one. He could do it again.

3rd. Last year Ibrahimovic stated clearly that Arsenal did NOT contact him during the summer
I also believe either Wenger had no intention of signing a striker or at the most did not make much of an effort to sign one. He even said that we have plenty of strikers

4th Wenger believes in keeping faith in his players. I think Wenger is happy with Alexis, Giroud, Welbeck, Campbell, Ox, Walcott

5th Wenger is the most stubborn and arrogant manager in the world. He is set in his ways.

Positives: He did get Cech, Ozil and Alexis so there is always the possibility of him signing a top player but again don’t get your hopes up until it is announced on Arsenal website

Last summer I was 100% sure Wenger was signing a TOP outfielder and I and you guys were left disappointed. Never again

  8. it killed me to see Suarez scoring wonderful goal as he did against us and WE BARGAINED 40+1 pounds for him..DISRESPECTFUL AND SHOWED OUR LACK OF AMBITION WHEN THE COACH SAID THERE’S NOBODY ELSE THAN WHAT WE HAVE..ARE YOU KIDDING ME? then Yesterday i saw the man who would have suit us IF WE HAVE SPENT IN WINTER WINDOW..yes..ABU DESTROYED SPUDS ..man with PACE, ABILITY ..GOOD HEADER..RESOURCES LIKE THE ST WE HAVE LACK but no..NOW HE WILL COST OVER 60 BUCKS WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE GOT HIM FOR 35 OR 40 DURING THE WINDOW..DM’s? the same..nobody better than the bunch we have..THE ARSENAL SCOUTS SHOULD BE FIRED..Coach was RELUCTANT TO ADD ..AND HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS..HE BOUGHT OZIL AFTER TRASHING..ALEXIS AFTER BAD RESULTS..THIS WAS THE YEAR TO WIN IT AND HE..ONLY HE BOTTLED IT..CHANGE IS NEEDED..YOU ALL CAN GIVE ME AS MANY THUMBS DOWN YOU WANT BUT WE GOT A COACH WITH NO AMBITION..NOT KROENKE.

    1. don’t think u deserve a single thumbs down…….. But u’d get some anyways…..

      {Courtesy of the HousehoLd of wenger} L()L

  9. Zlatan would beat the living hell out of our players. for example chamberlain, watching him in the tunnel dancing around like a fool, and bam some karate kick and he would be down.

chamberlain would go off to cry to wenger, and zlatan would probably tell wenger off aswell, saying that you are old and less of a men then moro, and that he is to old to have a say in football.

zlatan does whatever he wants. he is to much for arsene to handle

    1. and dont get me started with giroud acting like some sunny boy with ramsey, rampapam, and they would be done

    2. Hahaha………. I’m trying hard to picture a bullied Ox and a meek Look on wenger’s face after being told off by Zlatan

  10. I’ve supported Giroud as much as a fan can but this season he has blown it big time, previous seasons there could be the argument that he had no competition/rest in his role, due to injuries he had to play a LOT.

Girouds stats improved with seasons which made me want to support him more, he wasn’t a big name signing and I wanted to see another player become big, he has so many attributes and I done what every good fan did and support the player who wears the Arsenal badge.

Time to say goodbye to Giroud though.
I wanted the big man to use his str fully but he is as weak as a kitten on the ball and goes over too easy for such a big man. He has shown he can do it! But he has shown that he can’t be bothered to do it when he is secure.

Zlatan would be ideal for a couple years as I honestly do think that Welbz and Akpom can learn a lot from him in training, just watching how Zlatan uses his size advantage would teach them a massive difference to what they have seen with Giroud.

    No transfer fee…
Okay so he would ask for large wages, I read that he would ask for at least £250k per week, this would be £26mil?
    Add in a signing bonus…

I don’t think that is too much, what do you guys think? Keep in mind there is no transfer fee.
