Arteta will now expect his players to carry that performance into the new season as they look to defend the league crown they won in the summer. The Community Shield victory has given them an early boost and could provide further confidence before their competitive campaign continues.
The Gunners will also be expected to improve in other competitions after reaching the final of the Carabao Cup and the Champions League last season. Their performance against Manchester City offered several positive signs and suggested they are capable of competing strongly again.

That control from Odegaard when he scored was amazing.
The game is full of ‘ifs and buts’ but if Man City had Raya in goal and we had Donaruma, we could have lost 3-0. Just kidding. Odegaard and Saka looked sharp, MLS continues to shine, Bruno brought that natural midfield aggression often lacking with Zubimendi. Although only cameos from Zubimendi and Gyokeres, they don’t impress me. Madueke was Madueke, not good enough IMO.
After thumping City writers and pundits all are one in saying ‘Can anyone stop Arsenal?. Is it good, beneficial for Arsenal? To be expected

Just like last season when these pundits and opposition fans were bigging us up just waiting for us to fail, I take little notice of what they say.
Instead of bigging up our side, maybe they should concentrate on any of their own teams perceived weaknesses, rather than concern themselves with the current Premier League champions.

Yeah to earn the rank of Defending Champions. I was surprised when I read Arsenal start this season to become back to back Champions after 90 (ninety) years. Thus back to back is a problematic thing for Arsenal. Hopefully Arteta will do this special thing; what eluded the likes of Graham and Wenger. Mission 90 will be achieved.
‘No one kicks a dead dog’ so normal if writers focus on, dissect the defending Champions.
