A personal message to JustArsenal readers from Mr Admin

Okay now we are entering the New Year I need to keep you updated on my personal situation and my work on Just Arsenal, and I have some very good news! (for me anyway lol)

After last years medical problems I seem to be fully recovered at last, and I am going to take advantage of that by taking a long overdue visit to my aging sister over in Perth, Australia, and visit a few other places around there while I can. Of course my lovely lady will be with me to make sure I don’t get into too much trouble! The journey begins with a train to the airport early tomorrow morning.

Subsequently my times are going to be haywire for some time, as over there they are 8 hours in front of the UK, so the Arsenal games could be played at various times between 9pm and 5 am where I am and I may not always be on hand to do match reports etc straight after the game. Pat J has promised to help with that when he can, but I will still be adding articles when I am awake and able to get internet.

Also there will be a lot of travelling time involved and you may see a few gaps between stories (That won’t upset my Lord Jon too much…). I will do my best to keep that to a minimum however. I won’t be shirking my duties!

The more articles I get sent to me from my lovely contributors, then the less stress I will have while I’m away, so keep sending them over and I can schedule them for when you are all awake….

That’s about it for now. Any questions? Fire away….

  1. Have a good one pat
Nothing more important than family and health
I’m sure we can still manage to argue between ourselves ????

  2. Have a great time admin, and good to hear you’re healthy again. I hope to visit my friend in Perth some time, and I’ll be in Aus next month, so 2am games for me as well. Haha!

  3. If you are visiting Perth make sure you visit Margaret River (surfing beaches & wineries), Cape Leeuin Light House, Busselton and a number of excellent cave systems (lit and good access for tourists) along the Leeuin Coast south of Perth. Also the town of Pemberton where you can view the massive Karri forest. Swan Valley is nice and i can recommend a cruise alng the Swan River from Perth to Fremantle.
If you are coming to the East Coast; Sydney or Newcastle NSW area let me know.

    1. Hi Ozzie . I been to all those places as did has been there for 30 years. I particularly like Hilary’s marina and the wanneroo nature park. And kings park of course. Err and the trots. Etc etc lol

  4. Have a wonderful time Pat and a great way to start the New Year being the other side of the world from our defence. You lucky lucky man.
And on a personal note may I just say THANK YOU for bringing back the advertisements for BREAST ENLARGEMENTS.I have studied these at great length and have decided to get some for myself. And who says advertising never pays off.
Safe travels to you and your wife

      1. Sue, Phil’s in the chemical business making silicone; he just likes to see where his product ends up.?

    1. Funny you should ask that TH14
Pat actually messaged me to say he will be and he’s hoping to get iwobi in his suitcase so you can watch him live rather than on the tv

  5. Thank you Admin for making this site vibrant. I enjoy the articles and the arguments a lot. Meanwhile safe journey and enjoy yourself.

  6. God speed and good luck. Thanks for caring so much and for bothering to explain. If we poor deluded souls- who all waste our live on obsessing on mere football and are properly deluded, surely, – cannot survive for even a few hours without your regular and tender care., well that says rather less for us lot, even “my Lordship, personally”, than it does for you, dear fellow. One warning though all Aussies speak English with a ghastly accent. But I have drunk a few nectars with some of them and most of them are great guys, even if they do live in the land of huge spiders, inferior cricket teams and strange hopping marsupials! Good luck Pat!

    1. jon, I didn’t think a man like you would fall back on stereotypes. The English spoken by the majority of Australians is easier to understand than many of the dialects spoken in the Counties of England. (LOL)

  7. @ Admin,
Great news, l am glad that you have recovered fully, l wish you all round peace throughout this year. Warm greetings and God’s speed

  8. Great news Pat!

  9. Great news, we need you healthy enough to put up with our constant moaning, arguing and interacting. Wish you well in your travels. It’s times like this that one really gets to appreciate what you do on here. Say hi to the Aussies!

  10. Are you going on the new direct flight to Perth Pat or stopping in Bangkok on the way, if that’s the case I’d like you pop in to Ko Phangan to deliver……….. Joking pat, you have a great time, regards to your lovely lady and sister.

    1. Kenny. We are going Bali first. But after Perth Koh phangan is on the agenda. Song kran probably. You there then?

      1. There’s a good possibility I will be Pat, I’ll check the fixtures first, If I’m there I’ll be in touch via JustArsenal. Good luck mate.

  11. Best wishes and good health to you Pat. Have a wonderful trip and come back to us safe and sound.

  13. feel better man, trips and family time can only help 🙂

  14. Pat, just arrived in Portugal for a month of TLC, so I am sorry to be so late in responding.
Have a great time with your sister and so pleased you have gotten back to full health.
Don’t overdo the sunshine and come back fully charged and “ready to rumble”!!

  15. Hello Pat
Good to hear you are well. I live in Perth. I am south of Perth in Secret Harbour near Mandurah, sounds like your sister lives in the north of Perth.
You are probably in Bali now, enjoying a few bintangs and the Mrs having a few massages. Try and get to Mt Agung volcano and also the tegallalang rice terraces, a car with driver for the day is about $50 Aussie dollars.
How long are you in Perth? You and your family are welcome to come to mine for a BBQ. We could do a dolphin tour of Mandurah canals. You have my email if you want to contact me, I know these visits are normally full on, no worries if you are too busy

My list of things to do whilst here would be, a visit to Elizabeth quay in the city, day trip to Rottnest island, a tour of the world heritage listed Fremantle prison ( a favourite for all my visitors ) lunch or dinner at the C restaurant, a revolving restaurant 30 stories up, great views of Perth and great food too. If you like cricket the big bash is on, Perth scorchers play at the new stadium, which is a very nice stadium 60,000 seater. An evening at the Crown Casino is always good, football is always on the massive screens in the casino sports bar on the weekends.

Oh and lastly, don’t ask for a fosters as the Aussies would laugh at you, they can’t believe it’s the number 1 beer in the UK.

    Enjoy your trip.
    Billy
