Aaron Ramsey praises the Arsenal youngsters and his “best goal ever”

The Welshman Aaron Ramsey came back to form with a bang in last nights brilliant win at Galatasary, but he was pleased to praise some of the youngsters that had to step up to the first team.

“The ball came to the edge of the box and I thought, ‘why not have a go?’,” Ramsey said on Arsenal.com. “So I had a go and thankfully it went in. It’s up there with the best I’ve ever scored but I still really like the goal against Norwich City.

“We looked dangerous every time we went forward tonight which is pleasing. We scored a few goals which is always nice and we took advantage of the opportunities. It was nice to get the four goals that we scored.

“We came here with a few players making their first-team debuts and they did great. It was nice to come here and nearly come away with what we needed to do to finish top. It wasn’t to be but we finished off strongly.

“It was really nice to see some of the 17-year-olds making their debuts and I was really pleased for them. This club is all about promoting younger players with talent and we’ve done that again tonight.”

Arsenal do have some fantastic youngsters in the squad, but it seems that Wenger doesn’t give them as many chances as in former years, but persists with FORMER starlets that don’t quite reach their expected potential, like Ramsey lol!

  1. Awesome goal. However, I want to see more from him. If Ramsey, Walcott and Sanchez can score lots of goals, it will make up for not having a top striker (ie Aguero, Costa).

Ramsey needs to take off and continue flying. He needs to show that he is not just the future of Arsenal but he NEEDS to show he is up there with Sanchez.

Want to see Ramsey, Walcott, Ozil and Sanchez really shine bright in second half of season.

    1. Ramsey’s other goaLs bar the 2nd against galatasaray came when he wasn’t desperate to score a goal and it paid off

  2. I said before that we need some sort of spark on our team to get us going like Ramsey was last year. If it is Ramsey to fulfill this role, by all means go on ahead.

Alas, I’m not gonna get my hopes up. Fingers crossed though, fingers crossed.

  3. When is Walcott back?

And Mesut invited a physically handicapped fan to watch him against Newcastle. So guess he will be playing.

Come on Walcott. Come back faster.

  4. Guys who do you prefer Arsenal to face against?? Bayern, Barca, real madrid, Atletico madrid, porto and Monaco?? I prefer the last two because are not in good form this season..
