Arsenal could be set to cash in on Shkodran Mustafi as a new report claims that AC Milan is interested in the German.
Mustafi hasn’t had the best of time in an Arsenal shirt, but the appointment of Mikel Arteta has revived his Arsenal career.
However, according to TodoFichajes, the Gunners don’t consider him a part of their long-term future and his return to form might be a good thing for them because they can now sell him in the summer.
The same report is also claiming that the Gunners’ defender is a subject of interest from Milan who are struggling at the back.
The Italians know that they would have to improve on their defence before the start of next season if they have any hopes of having a better campaign next season.
They have a number of defenders on their list and the in-form Mustafi is apparently one of them.
The report also indicates that Arsenal would be willing to sell Mustafi for just €10 million.
Arteta plans to rebuild his defence in the summer and one of his priorities is to sign a good partner for William Saliba.
However, Arsenal already has too many defenders and they might have to sell some if they want to bring in a new one.
Its clear Arsenal would love to move out several of the useless CB’s we have and under normal cirumstances would certainly have done so by, say August. But this virus is a game changer and no one will pay us much money for anyof our failures. Despite this, I expect both Mustafi and Sokratis not to be here next season, though neither will fetch much fee, hardly surprisingly. Imuch hope Luis is not here either but expect him to stay.

Not the three senior CBs, no. Just the three worst ones, as I list above. So you would keep them then? God help us if they all stay! I doubt you are even old enough to even remember the last top class CB’s we has at Arsenal in Campbell and before him, Adams, Bould and just slightly less good, Keown.
We definitely have to keep one incase of injury or panic a senior guy must always be in the squad.
We have literally been linked with dozens of centre backs for months and to pave the way for upgrades the likes of Mustafi and Socratis must be moved on.I find it difficult to believe that Milan are interested in Mustafi but I would be pleased to be proved wrong.As to a replacement, Nico Elvedi ticks all the boxes for me.
