Agent claims international Arsenal & Chelsea target being forced out

Miroslav Bicanic has claimed that Marcelo Brozovic is being forced out of Inter Milan.

The Croatian international is set to jet off to France for the European Championships, but may be distracted as his future lies in the balance.

Brozovic has had an extremely impressive season with Inter, attracting supposed interest from Chelsea, while Arsenal had been linked with a move for the midfielder prior to his switch to Italy.

The 23 year-old was believed to have been on 18-month loan deal from Dinamo Zagreb, but the story seems to claim that Inter own the rights to his signature, and are looking to sell.

“If [Inter director] Piero Ausilio went to England, that means he plans to sell him,” Miroslav Bicanic said, according to Sky Sport Italia.

“Marcelo is torn at the moment because he likes Inter and enjoys living in Milan, but he wants to play in the Champions League.

“My personal opinion is that he would stay if Inter offered him a new and improved contract, which is something he deserves, on the same level as the best players in the squad.

“So far the club has not given us the impression they want to do that, so I’m drawing conclusions that they possibly want to sell him.”

Brozovic is a midfielder who can play various roles in a team, but is favoured in playing in a box-to-box capacity.

We appear to be extremely close to completing a deal for Granit Xhaka,  although both Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta have both just left the club, making room for new arrivals.

I would love to see Brozovic come in, but I see him as a similar player to Mohamed Elneny, which could put off Wenger. We may have to settle for watching him play for Chelsea, which I believe would be a painful site…

Should we sign him anyway?
