With Eberechi Eze unveiled at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal’s seventh signing of the summer, some Gooners are still wondering whether the club’s transfer activity is truly complete.
It would not be surprising if Arsenal made one or two further additions before the deadline. With Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Nørgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Eze all arriving, Mikel Arteta appears to have injected enough quality to mount a serious title challenge.
Yet there are signs the Spaniard is not done just yet. Two more signings are reportedly being targeted.
A winger and left-back on the radar
The Gunners are understood to be keen on Lyon winger Malick Fofana, a Ligue 1 sensation also admired by Bayern Munich. He is understood to be available for around £35 million.
But it is not just Fofana. Arsenal are also said to be pursuing a left-back before the window closes. Transfer reporter Abdellah Boulma has reiterated that Andrea Berta and his team are working late into the market to make it happen.
While some might argue Arsenal have already spent heavily, over £250 million, and that while their early signings did not require outgoings, these final deals likely will.
Fortunately, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior are all reportedly available for sale. If offloaded, the quartet could help Berta raise the necessary funds to crown Arsenal’s summer with a double signing: Fofana and a yet-to-be-named left-back.

Fixing Arsenal’s left side
The left-hand side has long been considered a weak spot for Arsenal. With a new winger and left-back to provide competition and Eze operating at left central midfield, Arteta may finally have the tools to make that flank click and match the productivity of the right.
With Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard driving the right-hand side, Arsenal have often been accused of being too predictable. Both had to leave the pitch through injury in Saturday’s game against Leeds. But with genuine balance across both wings, the Gunners could be set to deliver a far more frightening prospect for opponents – and an exciting one for fans.

I only see us getting another LW if someone leaves thats not Reiss Nelson. Since Trossard is staying, that mean Martinelli. He doesnt seem to have any suitors so I’d say the squad is basically done when it comes to attack.
In defense maybe if Kiwior and Zinny go, Arteta wants to bring in one more for the left side just in case? But I’d hope we would have a youth prospect tbh instead of going into the market again
Forget about a new left winger or a left back, too much cook could spoil the broth.
Arsenal has recruited some real talented players, they require time and coaching to gel as a cohesive unit.
The recent capture of Eze have strengthen a spine that was already strong, the challenges now for the gaffer is to integrate these new additions with existing players and potentially adopte formation, such as a possible shift to three defenders systems to maximize their collective potential, am talking about that very attacking 3 : 1 : 3 : 3 set up.
Integration isn’t just about tactics, it’s also about fostering team work, communication and a shared understanding of player style among all squad members.
The legendary Alex Ferguson once said Arsne Wenger doesn’t like to mix his players, he consistently plays them together developing a remarkable understanding, it is that understanding among team members why Arsenal played the most beautiful football back then, The legendary Frenchman. once said he would never compromise how the beautiful game should be played.
that beautiful game resulted in 10 years of trophy drought. football has evolved. you need to address being predictable this is why Chelsea win trophies

I hope the left back rumor is true. I think that we need a specialist player there personally. It’s all very well having versatile players, but for me having a proper left back will help regards having consistency.
When you mix and match in certain area’s a lot of the time, this can effect the consistent levels required in said position.

loved his last goal before he left, and I really liked his attitude as well. I think if Berta had been here a year earlier, he would still be here
All of all we still need a perfect replacement of Saka!
Our left wing looks okey now with Calafiori and L Skelly exchanging at the back but Matinely must have to start scoring or else he will remain as a backup.
