Another French goalscoring star wants Arsenal move

Arsenal already have the two top French strikers in Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette, and now the newest top scorer for Lyon, Nabil Fekir, is very keen on joining his compatriots at the Emirates. Fakir normally plays as a striking midfielder but amazingly has scored 11 goals in his first 11 Ligue 1 games this season, easily covering for the departure of Lacazette to the Gunners. Considering he only put 9 in the back of the net last season this is a massive improvement on previous form and he is likely to be much sought after next summer but it would seem that the Gunners will have the advantage over our rivals.

The 24 year old’s father has made it clear that if he leaves Lyon he wants to move to the Premier League, but specifically to Arsenal. “Nabil would like to finish 1st or 2nd and play Champions League football with Lyon,” Mohammed Fakir said in 2015.

“If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It’s the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger.

“He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.”

It is certain that Arsenal will need a couple of new quality players when Ozil and Alexis leave next summer, and Fakir is looking like a very viable target, especially as he is good friends with Lacazette who joined us last summer from the same club.

Should Wenger be making enquiries about him right now?

  1. Absolutely class act we mite get him but u can be sure he play wing back under wenger ? just get used league and lacasette be sent to deportivo on loan and we bring back Lucas Perez who by the way is tearing up li liga a very good player never got chance bad management if u ask me and we keep Walcott like omg even Campbell is playing well like give me patience and the City game people saying play Walcott no no no my people play Reid’s Nelson in he’s position against city would been better and should played niles in midfield but we get coq in goal hahaha master mind if new manager came in he have load kids in give us new look trust me it take time but it’s there plus has anyone seeing bellerin after City game he was looking at himself in mirrors if that was Tony Adams he would put he’s fist true mirror but no we get bunch of models who just want see how they look again bas management ahhhhhh is all I can say

    1. Come on, Perez isn’t tearing up La Liga, he scored a couple of penalties. And Wenger gave him eleven chances to score in the premiership and he didn’t have a lot of luck. Having said that I’d take Lucas over Walcott any day of the week, he’s just a better overall footballer then Walcott. As for Nabil, we should grab him if Lyon is willing to part with him, but I doubt they are. And Wenger probably would re-purpose him as a winger like the moron he is.

Coquelin was actually pretty damn good against City. He made some amazing tackles and took the ball away from City on several occasions. The problem was Wenger’s overall strategy, like not starting Lacazette and using Xhaka instead of Wilshere, and playing a very defensive game in the first half. As for you Mr.Reacher, learn how to use punctuation. It’s very difficult reading one very long run-on sentence.

  2. At least two times this year I have heard the commentator scream – that is why you start your record signing.

Surprised his dad thinks Arsene is the one to develope him.

    1. Please lay off Wenger. He is someone father and Grandpa. The amount of abuse he get on internet on daily basis is unbelievable. Everybody that is somebody and everybody that is nobody in the game knows that he should have been sacked or his contract not renewed but kroenke thought otherwise. So it is not his fault that he still has his job despite his failing. How many 68 years old do i know earns close to 10 million f**king pounds in a year?. Just one and i be so happy if he is my father or granpa, **smiling**

      1. while I agree he should have never ever have been offered a new contract in the first place I’m pretty certain Stan didn’t hold a gun to his head and forced him to sign again.

      2. Mobella, Now I have heard everything! So then, it is not his fault he is still here. Funny that. Cos I thought with all his money and zero chance of ever winning PL or CL with him still here, and claiming to “love “Arsenal, he COULD have retired. There is no law of the land preventing him retiring , is there! I only wish there were a law preventing him STAYING!

This is based on a comment 2 years ago hardly news is it

    1. Very true, after seeing what has happened to Giroud and Lacazette he might not be of the same opinion now.
