Are AC Milan already in talks with Jack Wilshere?

At the beginning of the season, there were very few Arsenal fans that would have thought that Jack Wilshere would refuse to sign a new contract with the Gunners, as he has always insisted that he didn’t want to play for anyone else.

But last week Jack said ‘things had changed’ and he was no nearer to an agreement with Arsenal. One of the things that definitely changed is that from January, Wilshere was free to talk to clubs from other league and there were rumours of interest from Juventus and AC Milan.

It would appear that the Milan interest is very real judging by Gennaro Gattuso’s words this week ahead of tonight’s match at the Emirates. He said: “I remember when I came here to this stadium in 2012 and he was just a kid,” he said.

“I think he can play in any league. He may not be super-fast, but he has got great skills and is super-tactical. He has good ball circulation – when he gets the ball he knows exactly where to send it.

“He knows exactly the right pace and can change the pace of the game. He can play central midfield or a little bit further up.”

“He had a few physical problems but he has got a great talent,” he added.

“He can still express a lot and give a lot. I don’t know how it is going to end up with his contract but I have always admired his qualities.

“He is a very different sort of player – he has got the personality of English football but with the qualities of a Spanish player. Two different cultures and I like him a lot.”

Gattuso is obviously a big fan, and the fact that are legally allowed to talk to Wilshere now, do you think he has taken this opportunity to try and persuade Jack to move to Italy?

  1. Why would he leave arsenal for ac Milan .
He would want to upgrade surely .
Sean dyche calling would be a worry 🙂

Is aubameyang available to play if Dortmund get knocked out ?

    1. If AC Milan offer more lucrative salary package, I think he would be very tempted

It usually about money, like Sanchez and Ozil. Except for the Ox that moved to Liverpool with lower salary offer

    2. i read somewhere Auba cant play for us in EL not because of featuring for dortmund in the CL.. but because you can only (apparently) add one player to your team for use in Europe in January (so we added Mkhi…)

could be wrong.. wouldnt be the first time 😉

  2. The answer to your question is simple. Nobody knows. Not you, not the newspapers, not skysports and not the schoolboy blogs.

  3. in the next season we can play with this formation:
    GK (new)
    RB- CB- CB -LB
    DMF (new)
    Ramsey Wilshere
    ozil
    lacazette aubamyang
a 4-4-2 diamond and sure with a new manager, hopefully allegrii or tukhil

  4. I think, reluctantly, that Jack both will and should leave this summer. A more courageous and dyed in the wool Gooner , as a player, I have rarely seen. His and our big tragedy was that all his injuries have combined to reduce that once thrilling surging past opponents pace he had but has no more. Analysing his end product, you must conclude that it really doesnt add up to much, these days. Virtually no goals and few assists. An enormous shame and I have rarely wished any true Arsenal man more good luck when he leaves. But leave he should and I believe he will.

    1. Southgate said he could be good as a DM and I think so too

He is similar to Kante, stature and skill wise. Just need to increase his work rate and stamina to become a good DM for Arsenal

      1. Oh, I agree and also think him good enough for England. With the like of Henderson, Dier and Livermore in todays squad , it is a no brainer that he is better than them. But i still think him not productive enough in goals and assists for US , not if we are to be challenging for top two / three / four with a proper manager installed next season. The bottom line with ALL payers is how much they DO or DON’T produce for the team. Merely looking good on the ball is often fools gold. You HAVE to produce the goods at top level. BTW, England are way below top level. And he is not, never will be a DM. HE IS OR WAS LOOKING LIKE BEING A TOP CENTRAL MIDFIELD CREATOR WITH AN EYE FOR INCISIVE PASSING. Until all his injuries took a vital edge and pace off his game.

  5. He probably payed close attention to Fabregas Cazorla Arteta and watched allot of Xavi Iniesta after the kind words he got from the master of circulation. The thing with Barca, and it is true of all teams that reach the highest heights, is that they find it easy to compliment runners up and teams they’ve beaten. If you are saying great things about the team you disposed of, it’s really paying your own team a massive compliment. Fergie would go on about all the qualities the beaten teams have, but when he finished runner up it was a different story altogether as he’d spit out his congrats, Barcelona, B Munich, they all do it.

    1. How observant and how true. It is easy to be magnanimous when you win. LESS EASY WHEN YOU LOSE.

  6. In my humble opinion, I do think he should be tried in the deep lying/ defensive midfield for us as he has played there a number of times for England and got mom ratings on I think, 4 or 5 occasions. I do find it difficult to believe though that Welbz has also been called up for the England squad too. Perhaps, and hopefull, he will show us why tonight, but I doubt it.

  7. Jack is food quality and has been since he was a young man, injury nearly did for his career but he has kept going and still has plenty in his locker. He wants to play for us so offer a decent contract. Don’t want to see us lose super Jackie wiltshere
