Are his Arsenal team-mates failing Lacazette?

Petr Cech has claimed that Alexandre Lacazette needs better service then he is currently getting from his Arsenal team-mates. The striker arrived in a club-record £46.5 Million according to reports, and has hit the ground running with eight goals so far this term, despite being limited in his match minutes thus far. Lacazette is playing much more regularly in recent weeks, albeit without completing the 90 minutes on more than two occasions in the league so far.

The French striker is now said to be in need of better service from his Arsenal counterparts, with goalkeeper Petr Cech insisting his movement is not always utilised by the players in behind him.

Cech said: “Alex is a very intelligent player.

“The way he plays, obviously, he has adapted quickly to the way we play. I think we, as a team, we need to get more out of him because sometimes he makes a very good movement but the ball does not arrive every time at the right moment.

“I think it’s a matter of time [before we see his best]. But for a player who has just come to the Premier League, he’s had a pretty good run.

“He has immense quality in front of goal. If you see his ratio from how many shots he actually takes, it’s just a matter of time before more goals will come.”

Will the understanding between the players improve naturally or are the players in behind simply need to be more aware of their surroundings?
