Are Man City going to dominate the EPL for next five years?

We are all talking about Arsenal fighting to get back into the Premier League Top Four to qualify for the Champions League but to be honest the chances of us actually challenging for the title are pretty slim right now, especially with the new spending power of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. Jose Mourinho will be squeezing every last penny out of the Glazers to get Man United up and challenging City, but Pep Guardiola’s bosses have unlimited spending power to maintain their domination that we saw this year.

Realistically those three are going to be the main challengers for the title for the forseeable future, and then you have Chelsea, who are title winners in two of the last four years. They may be in flux with Abramovich’s visa problems, but you can never write them off as non-challengers. And then we get the thorny problem of our noisy neighbours the Spuds, who see to get better every year with Pochettino. So we are going to have problems getting into the Top Four anyway even if we see Emery performing miracles.

But this is just how hard a problem we have at Arsenal, but what about the teams above us trying to get past City? They face just as hard a job, and our old defender Bacary Sagna thinks Pep Guardiola is going to totally dominate the Premier League now…

Sagna said: “Yeah, they will (dominate) – and for a long time because they are based on young players.

“Most of them are 22, 23 and they are building a team to last for the five years coming (up). I think they are going to achieve well.

“To me, they’re going to be champions for a few years in a row. I think they are even going to win the Champions League.

“It’s going to be a big statement from the club because 10 years ago it was very small and it has changed a lot.

“This season I was amazed by the way they played against big teams, how they played in every single competition and by the way they reached 100 points.

“It’s not done by every single team but they did and they have no limits and a manager who will push them.

“He wants them to give the maximum and he wants to get the best out of every single player. To me, they are going to be flying.”

Could this be true? Will Arsenal only be fighting for a Top Four place for years and years?
