Arsenal put tickets on global sale for WBA game by KM
Well, well! A happy good day to you all beautiful Arsenal fans around the globe! Do you have your WBA ticket prepared? If not, don’t worry they are on general sale as the Guardian reports! It’s extremely interesting that this has happened, because usually getting a game for the arsenal is a tough ask. I once booked a ticket and a hotel to London and realised I’d only have a ticket 2 days before the game, even though I paid for it 6 months earlier.
But this simply reflects the state the club is in. Shambles is one word that comes to mind that can describe the mess we are in. There are also reports that Sanchez and Ozil will wait on confirmation from Wenger that quality will be signed before they commit, oh and that we’d also make the Champions league of course.
But back to the Emirates, you cannot tell me that 3000 tickets are being sold like that, because people have so much work and cannot see the Arsenal! If that game was deciding the title, would the club be selling tickets like that? And make no mistake quite a few season holders won’t bother making the game either, as it will be another painful one that will be anything but easy! Even the fact that City slipped against Newcastle means that we are having it easier than we should, but we will still be put up with a fight from Albion on Thursday!
I cannot really blame anyone who would miss the game. I’m not watching recent games too, because it just hurts to watch the Arsenal shirt move without any purpose, with players playing more for their salaries rather than anything else, and the club being ran by ultra rich people who are there to only get richer without any real interest in the club.
The players, the manager and the board show no passion, why should the fans be excited about this, when we are playing for 4th spot again. We’ve seen this movie. But the best thing that’s happened about the situation is realisation. People have come to their senses and unow nderstand that the way Arsenal is ran it’s gradually moving in a downward spiral direction. It’s not a straight drop off a cliff, but rather taking the slow curved path around the mountain until we reach bottom.
This is years of hurt and false promises, excuses, humiliation and lies. We were supposed to break the financial shackles and strengthen, but even when the other clubs fell down to our level, we decided to keep a nice gap of at least 10 points off top, just to make sure no pressure hits us, because we can’t handle it.
The fact Wenger keeps speaking of how we should “stay together” means he feels the turnaround in support. He’s always had endless support and power and that’s why he always blamed it on other reasons than himself. With the support of the fans, he was allowed anything, and with that money-sucking owner it got worse.
But the empty seats are a huge warning sign. If the big figures at Arsenal keep their eyes closed again, the backlash will only get bigger. Arsenal at least was exciting to watch 5 years ago. True we couldn’t beat the big teams, but we would’ve hammered Palace 4:0 in a game like Sundays back in the day. Today there is no real excitement in watching the Arsenal. The Arsene way hasn’t been that pretty since 2012 in my opinion and 12 years is a long time.
Silence sometimes speaks more than a thousand words, and having the Emirates emptier is only
increasing the gigantic question marks over the people who are in charge of Arsenal FC. And it doesn’t mean fans don’t support Arsenal, it’s just the normal human reaction to when you are being so badly abused by rich people, whose only desire to get richer come on the back of what we all love.
The apathy around the club is the worst it’s been since I am following Arsenal. My plea to all of the Arsenal fans is to feel free to express yourselves. No organisation would work if everyones opinion was directly placed into action, but I feel for far too long Arsene had everything in his hands and it’s time he is stripped off some of his power.
I will finish with the news that a lot of fans went on to jeer and abuse Arsene after the Palace game. Now before you blame those people, think of what they sacrifice each time to see the club and the way it’s being handled by Arsene. Disrespecting other people is weak, but what respect has Arsene or the board shown us? With the ticket prices perhaps? Or with comments slashing fans opinions in a swift second and the continuous lies and denial about our situation.
The fact Arsene is not that popular among fans anymore is the fact he decided not to leave when he should. Now he face the consequences of what he brought upon himself. If it’s boos, banners or not going to the game at all work, then I am all up for it. We need a reaction and we have to spark it in whatever way works. The WBA game will be another example of how we feel.
Will our concerns be addressed? I doubt it. After 12 years of experience I’ve learned that Arsenal, like politics, cannot be trusted on words.
