Arsenal among the clubs interested in young £20 Million midfielder

Arsenal reportedly interested in £20 Million rated Turkey U21 midfielder

The media is reporting that Arsenal has joined the race to sign Feyernoord’s £20 Million rated midfielder Orkun Kokcu.

Apparently a number of top European clubs are also monitoring the 18-year-old. But the Daily Mail did not name them, unfortunately.

Kokcu is supposed to be one of the hottest talents in Dutch football but I must confess, I have never heard of him. From what I can gather he is a regular for Feyenoord and is gaining a reputation as a hot prospect.

The teenager certainly fits the Arsenal profile but then so do a lot of young players. I suspect that he will be one of a number of youngsters that will be linked with a move to the Emirates over the next few months.

I had a look at a video of him over on youtube here and he certainly looks a talent but then short clip videos can make anyone look world-class.

The bottom line is that Kokcu is definitely talented and this is one to keep a lazy eye on. You never know.

  1. 20m!!
European clubs are ripping off PL clubs.
When did Feyernoord last spend 20 m on a 20 year old PL player?
Tell Feyernoord we will give them Mkhitarian and Ozil straight swap for Koksu.
    Yeah thought so.
We got Guendouzie for 7m and Martinelli for 7m. Both hit form immediately.
Makes paying 55m for Lacazette (resting) and 70m Pepe (adapting)seem ridiculous.
10m should be our max fee we pay for any one from now on.

    1. Spot on

If that boy is another central midfielder, we have got too many of them at Arsenal. Namely Guendouzi, Willock, Torreira, Xhaka, Smith-Rowe, Burton, Chambers, Elneny, Ozil and Mkhitaryan

It’s better to recruit Ceballos after his adaptation process is completed at the end of this season

    2. if zaha is valued for 150m then 20m for koksu….

no club will undervalue their players…this is for negotiation purposes

this is a highly inflated market….very soon it will cost 100m for a junior player
