Arsenal are now set for a long winning run in the League

December hasn’t been kind to Arsenal as usual with the loss to Man United and the draws with West Ham, Southampton and Liverpool, but going forward in the next six weeks we have great chances of doing our customary winning run and ensuring our place in the Top Four at the end of the season.

Tottenham beating Burnley has not been that bad for us as they are only ahead of us on goal difference with Liverpool just one point further forward in fourth, and we can easily take heart from our brilliant attacking performance against Liverpool. We now have a bit of an easier fixture list ahead of us, starting off with Crystal Palace on the 28th and quickly followed by West Brom away on New Years Eve. Both of these are very winnable if we have now discovered our scoring boots.

Three days later we welcome Chelsea to the Emirates which is not a place they like to visit and our home record can only give us confidence. Then we can rotate for the FA Cup and Caraboa Cup games against Nottm Forest and Chelsea, so most of our first team will be well rested for at least 10 days when we go and visit Bournemouth on the 14th of January.

A week later we have Palace again back at the Emirates, and there are no more League games until the 30th of Jan when we visit lowly Swansea and then a 5-day rest before Everton come to our home. This is an excellent rn of fixtures to give us a boost in our race for second.

With the exception of Chelsea, those seven games could be our springboard to ascertain whether we are definitely going to be in the Champions League next season. I believe we can get 19 out of those 21 points and progress in the FA Cup as well. I’m not so sure about beating Chelsea in the semis of the League Cup, but our reserves are certainly good enough to tire out their team in the gruelling weeks ahead.

What do you think?

  1. Crystal palace and Chelsea are not winnable on current form.
you can’t trust arsenal to go on a long winning streak because you never know which arsenal will show up.
The arsenal I’ve seen for this season is lucky to have more than 25 points because we have gotten away with results so many times.
We are a mess at the moment and need fixing. People take too much out of the Liverpool game yet forget we are the only team in the top 6 Liverpool have won against this season
And you can’t give yourself credit for being lucky with suicidal defending where the opponent gifts you with goals

  2. I don’t think the present Arsenal side is capable of going on a long unbeaten run. Confidence is the lowest It’s been all season. Newcastle were probably the worse side to come to the Emirates this season and we squeaked home, in the game against Liverpool we were awful except for five crazy minutes. I think the days of long unbeaten runs are sadly over until we replace Wenger. Sixth place this season is all we can hope for at best.

  3. The way the title has been written signals as if we are in title winning form-it is anything but. So despite whatever the fixtures, let us go one game at a time rather than 4 or 5 and blow everything up…

  4. Loool. You got us good, i won’ ever comment, you making ratings throwing non sense for people to react one way or other…We lose , draw against these teams all season long ; 6th place is our spot…I wont even watch any of these games; my favorite team today is shifting to Reds, the spirit, the play brought by that Klopp. He takes risj and all for attacking ; love that…We were very lucky to dont cry baddly, stop the lies for rating…You got me again…..

    1. Then what are you doing on an arsenal site??? Go find just liverfool.com and start commenting about them…

  5. There are no easy games in the EPL. As the season progresses, so called lesser teams will be fighting for dear life to avoid relegation.
If Wenger and Bould don’t start concentrating on coaching Arsenal to defend and selecting the best players in their appropriate positions, Arsenal will continue to slip down the table.

  6. With this team you never know what will happen next, but one thing for sure will happen, Wenger gonna f**ck again.

  7. I hope we do! Palace hammered us 3-0 at their place last season, so that won’t be easy. Chelsea will also be a tricky game. The other games we SHOULD win, but you never know which Arsenal will turn up!!

  8. Sam P. Why do you persist with these ridiculous articles? We never hear from you unless we win or now days get a draw! The Liverpool game was truly appalling, we turned up for five minutes! Arsenal will not go on a long unbeaten run under the feeble management of Wenger. A new manager, assistant and back room staff are needed. I look forward to your next article, when we scrape a draw with a relegation threatened team. I can see the headline now, Wenger MUST be congratulated for motivating the boys!

  9. Beware of the word ‘winnable game’.
It is a siamese twin with the word ‘self-destruct button’

  10. Based on current form of all the teams you mention, 19 points from 21 is sheer fantasy. More like 11-12 IMO. At very best 15 points(4 wins and three draws, but that is most unlikely with no Giroud and injuries now hitting . Dropping the appalling Xhaka would be a big help. Never playing him again would be better still.
