Arsenal to benefit from PSG interest in Liverpool striker?

This would be great news for Arsenal FC and would give us Arsenal fans some great ammunition to fire at our counterparts on the red half of Merseyside in the banter wars over the summer and into next season, especially as it would be the second time in a couple of seasons that it happened and after the way they took the mickey about our transfer bid for Luis Suarez it would be ironic to say the least.

What I am talking about is the rumour being reported by the Daily Mail and other sports websites that the French champions and big spenders PSG are looking to sign the Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge this summer.

There is talk of an offer around £45 million for the forward and with Sturridge apparently ready to leave Anfield it is hard to see how the scousers are going to stop it happening. So to Zlatan Ibrahimovic whose contract with PSG is up this summer and who wants to play in the Premier League and is said to fancy Arsenal.

One thing that might scupper this deal is if PSG decide to extend his contract which they could do, but if they get Sturridge from Liverpool then this would be highly unlikely. So just like with the sale of Suarez to Barcelona freeing Alexis Sanchez to sign for us, will Arsenal get another helping hand from a Liverpool striker transfer?

    1. Saw somewhere Ibrahimovich has been offered upwards of 50 million pounds to come play in China.

He’d be absolutely mad to pass up such an offer. That is the best deal a player could ever have, considering his age and he’s as a free agent!!

That is crazy money! Forget about seeing him at the emirates. Even if he miraculously signs for AFC, I myself will walk down there to chase him out. If he’s got nothing to do with 50 million pounds, he can as well collect it and donate to charity.

  1. Wenger should stay one
    more season and clear
    out his deadwood not
leave it to the new manager.
Rosicky Arteta Flamini Sanogo Wilshere (injury wreck)
    Wellington Mertesacker, Cazorla 31 and
    with a serious achilles, Debuchy
have to go and Wenger should take responsibility
for this task because he signed them all.
Use our academy players to flesh out the squad for next season.
    Squad for 2016/2017.
    Cech Ospina Macey

    Koz Gabriel Chambers Hayden
    Elneny Coquelin Ramsey Zelalem
    Sanchez Adelaide Walcott Ox
    Campbell Ozil Iwobi
    Giroud Wellbeck Akpom.
    Szcz to return in 2017.
Cost of new players $0 let the transfer kitty build
for the new manager in the summer of 2017.

    1. @davidnz
Wellington is a real talent who should be given a chance before he’s kicked to the curb. Ramsey lacks discipline, is injury prone and should be flogged for what ever we can get for him. We could also get a few quid for Ox and Walcott.

      1. Haven’t seen much of Wellington. But I respect your judgement call on him. You always seem get you call on these players spot on e.g Coquelin, Afobe

Just curios though.. what do you look for in player?

  2. With or without transfers I believe this team should have the capability to make it.
    Young and talented.
    We have englands best player.
    The chilean all time great
germanys player of the season and king of assists
The best fullbacks in the league
One of the best dms in europe

And I have still not mentioned the likes of cazorla cech and kos.
With campbell gabriel welbeck and el neny also looking good.

Look at how our players are they compare with legends:

Sanchez-He has modeled himself like robben.A highly skilled player with the ball.
Making some impossible control and touches. With also a great eye for a goal.

Ozil-No need to speak about him hes the next ballon dor champion.

Ramsey-Well I dont know much about his position and attitude. But he seems to have modelled his game against good strikers.
Watch clips of ibrahimovic and vanpersie and take notice.
He has great agility energy and uses some very great techniques to score.

Ox-A combination of speed pace power and acceleration .Great dribbling and energy with some powerful shootings.
    He looks like bale.

bellerin-His speed defensive workrate And great movement in attack plus some good and perfect shooting he looks like a right back version of marcelo.

el neny-He has simplicity to his game and
flawlesss passing great control a high positional sense maximum shooting high defensive workrate and able to keep the ball at his feet.
He is the new kroos/ vidal/xabi alonzo

Coq-A flawless defnsive workrate and great passing with speed and great reflexes.
He can also beat a man or two in that sense.
You can compare him to the likes of busquets and mascherano

  3. I can just imagine where we would be now with de gea as our goalie.
All those teams that came from behind to win or draw against.
    Huh

  4. We shot ourselves in the foot over the Suarez transfer…. didn’t need the scousers to do it. They needed to get rid of him, but didn’t want to be made to look stupid. We could’ve had an £80m player for £45-50m

  5. I’d be a bit more excited if the rumor is about us getting Lucas Moura as a potential fall out from the Sturridge deal.

Lucas Moura can be a long-term replacement for Theo if he we let the Englishman go.
