Arsenal boosted by agent’s comments in pursuit of Ligue 1 goal threat

Yusuf Yazici‘s agent has claimed that Lille are interested in selling his client, with Arsenal believed to be keen.

The midfielder scored a brace in his side’s 4-0 win over Lorient yesterday, his eight and ninth goals of the season in all competitions at this early point in the campaign.

This sort of form is always going to attract rumours and attention, and should that continue then there will likely be a number of clubs considering his signature come January.

As it stands, Arsenal are currently struggling to create many opportunities up front, while very few goals are coming from other areas of the team also, and a creative midfielder who has goals in his locker could well be a priority come January.

Yazici is currently looking like exactly that, and while it pains me to admit, he has as many goals in November as our whole club (five).

His agent Adem Cebeci claims that Lille have intentions to cash-in on the midfielder, and that a move to a bigger European club isn’t far away.

He told Turkish outlet Demiroren News Agency (as translated by the Mirror):“It is necessary to be humble, but Yusuf’s achievement of this performance is the result of planned and patient work.

“It is really an honour for the big clubs to take care of Yusuf. Because Yusuf has goals and is moving towards this goal.

“(Lille) Sporting director (Luis) Campos likes Yusuf’s game very much. That’s why he worked hard for his transfer.

“When Yusuf reaches his true potential, they want to sell him to very good clubs for a very good price, and that doesn’t seem too far.”

Would Yazici be under consideration in January?
