Arsenal boosted with key Man United trio ruled out

Manchester United have travelled to Arsenal without key stars Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Marouann Fellaini.

The Red Devils come to the Emirates for tomorrow’s evening match-up against Arsenal, in what could be a hotly contested event.

Both sides come into the game on the back of impressive wins, with the pair scoring nine goals between them in midweek, and you could make arguments to back up either side winning the match.

The visitors are aiming for their first away win against a top-six side since Jose Mourinho joined the club, while Arsene Wenger is hoping to gain only his second ever win over the Portuguese boss in what will be their 18th duel.

United come into the match boosted by news that Nemanja Matic has travelled with the squad, and may well feature, but manager Jose has revealed that he will be without key trio Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Marouann Fellaini.

Jones and Bailly have been United’s first-choice centre-back pairing this term, and will leave Jose with some decisions to make as he hopes to bring all three points back to Manchester.

Arsenal will also be without one key player, having lost Alexandre Lacazette to injury on Tuesday night, but will be relieved to have Alexis Sanchez returning from a slight knock in the same match.

Will the Red Devils absences hinder their chances? Are Arsenal much better equipped to cover Lacazette?

Good, because Bailly is a very good central defender and Fellaini is always a threat with his height. No Lacazette but we have Welbeck that would be motivated to score against his former team.

Mustafi, Monreal and Koscielny are also in their good forms, so Arsenal could build the attack from Cech and them. Patience and the three attackers’ creativity would be the key to unlock Manchester United’s defense.

    Who is Eric Bailly?

  3. ThirdManJW says:

If Matic starts, then that’s a huge boost for Utd. I just hope we can cope without Lacazette.

  4. Ivan says:

These three don’t play every week anyway and Man U have a very expensive squad so don’t expect anything else but a really tough game.

Why do I have the feeling we’re going to bottle it tomorrow

Because you have been filled with negativity for too long not to feel paranoid at every moment. Maybe a little change in attitude could be of much help.

It is a big loss of trio for them but why do we need to worry about that ???? If we are on our A-GAME on saturday then we will certainly beat them….
