Arsenal boss bats away PSG and laughable Alexis transfer bid

There were some Arsenal transfer rumours yesterday claiming that the super rich French Ligue 1 club were preparing to test the resolve of Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board by making a transfer bid of around £70 million for our Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez.

The story was that they would also offer the contract rebel a massive pay rise to persuade him to quit the English Premier League and if that was the case I thought it might be curtains for our hopes of keeping Sanchez with the Gunners for the coming season.

However, later reports said that the value of their bid was only going to be about half that amount and as reported by The Mirror, even Alan Shearer who has in the past questioned whether Alexis could be called world class thought that was a laughable small amount.

He tweeted, “£35 million!! Do they just want his left foot?”

So it was hardly a surprise to read a Metro report of Arsene Wenger dismissing the chances of PSG signing his player when asked about the reports after the defeat to Chelsea in Shanghai yesterday.

If that is the best they can come up with then maybe we will have our star striker knocking in goals for the Gunners, for the next nine months at least.

  1. Another Sanchez story again. The EPL is getting tougher each year. What can we do to win the league with Chelsea, Man United, Man City, Spurs, Liverpool spending insane money? Pep just spent 100m pounds on a right back and left back.

  2. Wenger is not serious to win the league if he wants to rely on Welbeck, Ramsey, Ox ,Elneny, Wilshere, Cazorla, Giroud, Walcott, Mertesercker. All these players shud be squad players backing up the main stars, they shouldn’t be the star players, they have failed for years.

With them, there is always a deep in form or an injury around the corner.

See how strong and complete other teams are looking, while Arsenal all so rans and youth players flatter to deceive. When thick comes to thin all these players without raw talent will disappear.

Players with raw talent will always shine like coutinho, Alexis, Hazard, Pogba, Sylva, Aguero
