Arsenal can sign Ramsey replacement for €30 million but face Tottenham competition

Arsenal have been on the lookout for a successor to Aaron Ramsey ever since the club decided not to offer the Welshman a new contract and an opportunity has arisen to sign the ideal replacement for €30 million, according to the latest transfer news.

It is being reported that Italian giants AC Milan are willing to sell midfielder Franck Kessie this summer but only if their valuation of the player is met.

We are not the only Premier League side interested in the Ivory Coast star, our bitter Noth London rivals Tottenham are also said to be keen on signing the midfielder.

Kessie is a quality player who was an integral part of Gennaro Gattuso’s squad, however, the former Italian legend is no longer at the club following Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League and with new manager Marco Giampaolo expected to take over shortly the expectation is that the 22-year-old will be made available.

Milan will have to meet Financial fair play regulations and they will have to sell in order to fund new acquisitions and Kessie is seen as expendable.

With seven goals from 34 league appearances for Milan last season Kessie has proven to be an effective central midfielder in the mould of Aaron Ramsey and even though €30 million would be a significant chunk of our transfer budget it would, in my opinion, be worth every single cent.

I have watched Kessie play on a few occasions and seen enough in videos to be satisfied that he is a genuinely top-class player and be a definite upgrade for us, in fact, I would suggest he is an upgrade on Ramsey himself.

But there is the one huge obstacle that we cannot ignore and what may let Tottenham sneak in to grab him and that is the lack of Champions League football.

But we will see, we are still a huge attraction and not every quality player will turn us down for that reason.

  1. i watched him more than 10 times, except physical present kessie is not what we want, poor football brain compare to even joan jordan,he also lack control to dictate and command the tempo, we can mess up as much as we want with other areas but not with cb,cm and a wing.. we need quality in these positions atleast upamecano, barella and zeyech (atleast)

  2. I have watched him several times but I don’t think he is the right material to bring the anticipated change in our attack. I would go for Ziyech of Ajax in that attacking position because he has the talent we need to cause havoc to the opposing defense.

  3. I like his strength a good bully to have to break down play very good with the ball too How many times have you criticized xhaka he sure has more energy about him than xhaka but then youtube videos dont tell the full story

  4. We have Aaron’s replacement: Emile Smith-Rowe

Give the young players a chance; otherwise what is the point in having an academy?

  5. I agree with you Drew but we need to fix the soft center so the players I pick out from the roamers
Kessie and Joachim Andersen Kieran Tierney would love to see a right winger too The line up would be
    belerin mavropanos andersen tierney
    torreira Emile kessi
    newwinger auba iwobi
