Arsenal chasing versatile Real Madrid star…

Is Isco a Gunners target?

Isco is a player favoured by many apart from those at his current club Real Madrid and apparently Wenger is looking at ending Isco’s terrible time with the European Champions.

Isco had a promising start to his Real Madrid career, signing from Malaga in a big money deal a few years back. However, under the latter stages of Mourinho, then Benitez and now Zidane, Isco has being frozen out and Florentino Perez wants the Spanish star gone!

Isco has always apparently interested Arsene Wenger and was no doubt a target for the Gunners before he moved to Real Madrid, but now with the Spanish giants wanting the player to leave, Wenger could be looking to snap Isco up on the cheap.

According to the Express, Arsenal are looking at signing Isco this summer as they look to identify a versatile player who can both be a vital member of the starting eleven and fill in positions when others are injured. Isco is certainly that, having played a range of different roles across the midfield, one of which is the wing position. Arsenal are crying out for a new winger, with both Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain not cutting it, whilst Joel Campbell just doesn’t seem to get a chance. It was mentioned the other day that Mario Gotze may be the perfect fit for that role at Arsenal and he too seems very popular amongst the Arsenal fans. Quite similarly to Isco both can play on the wing or as a CAM, thus could fill in for Ozil when unfit but also have the regular playing time that their qualities deserve. Both therefore are ideal candidates for the role and both could be available at a cut price deal.

Isco would command high wages, probably excess of £120k a week, which is sure to be a similar or little less to what he currently earns at Real Madrid. It would therefore make him one of Arsenal’s biggest earners. However if Walcott is on £100k plus, surely Isco’s additional wage is justifiable at just around £20k more!

Should Wenger go for Isco? What role could he play at the club?

  1. Isco can be used as a long term replacement to Cazorla and Different midfield positions BUT we require a Top CF, winger and CB

    Get Lukaku, Aubameyang And Howedes

    1. No he is not a cenral midfielder he is an attacking midfilder with a very low work rate , he cant replace santi , for me we should look for valencia’s Andre Gomes he is an amazing all round midfielder can play any where , only 21 and already a leading player of valencia , i really hope that we get him to replace santi in 2 years

      1. Mkhitaryan all the way. Like cazorla he started on the wing, he is crazy two-footed! could drop into cazorlas position, wenger will try haha

andre gomes is a great shout! but we already got xhaka and Elneny. who are both good with two feet. ramsey isn’t there, he relies on his right foot so I see him filling in cm and rw. but it’s also worth nothing ramsey’s best moments came with arteta in midfield. Xhaka offers his passing range, but is even more robust.

  2. Isco would be an upgrade on most options we currently have. I just don’t see Wenger write the check required to buy him and I don’t think we should prioritize him over a striker.

    1. Zidane stated on S K Y transfer centre that Isco is not leaving Real Madrid.
He would be something wearing our Red and White.

  3. Enough of Linking Arsenal with all the midfielders on Earth……. ENOUGH!!!

    Our Defence is timid
    Our Strike force is impotent
Our wing is not resilent and fluid

our new signing Xhaka…..yes another midfielder…. is yet to kick a ball in an Arsenal shirt but we are still constantly being linked with more midfielders!

How do u make a delicious soup with a single ingredient?

    1. SoOpa

You wanna tell me you dunno the rumour is bulls**t??????

Ibrahimovic said he won’t reveal his next club now because he wants to enjoy the rumours the media is carrying everywhere…
So I suggest you do the same…

Anyone remember we were linked with one Aleksander Kokorin???? A Russian striker…
It is quiet for now regarding him..just saying….

As for Isco, just promote Toral and we are fine..
Like I said before, our attack CANNOT win BIG trophies..
If wenger calls me and ask me to choose between defence and attack..I will choose TWO new players for that attack..namely:
Mhikitaryan(solidifies LW and can play 10 and RW)
      And Janssen or Laca….

The defence,I will just have more faith in Chambers as CB and then stick with Hayden….

  4. I don’t see Isco moving, he’s not playing every game but he’s got a decent bit of game time in a very competitive midfield. He says he’s happy and knows he has to work in order to get picked. He would have probably expected as much before going there. He is a damn fine player, and it’s strange if true, that we have arranged a first refusal for him.

The Mikitaryan one sounds allot more plausible. Would hate to see him end up at utd, hopefully he knows a few of our German speaking players. We do need to look at our spine getting sorted, but that other wing position is still one of our weak spots. Joel has done well, Iwobi too, but compared to the Madrids Barcas Bayerns and soon to be mancs and utds, are those going to be counted. Or should we try for one of the games best.

  5. It comes to me better when the dreams are about a top CF. We need many upgrades, but those can wait. Even a top CB can also wait if that is the only way we can get enough money for the Aubas and Higuains of this world!
Have you thought of how often we dance around the opposition’s box? We need a guy that will shoot those dancing balls inside the net, and do it seriously often!
Let’s face the problem, if we had a guy like Auba this last season, we would be champions now, not Leicester.
So please talk to me about a monster striker that we are linked with, then after we have done it, you could talk to be about anything including signing a new steward, and I would gladly listen!

  6. Isco is going no where, it’s as simple as that. If we want depth in that position we can go for Gotze. He is quality and is available
