The standards we have set are so high at the moment.
If we really want to improve when buying players, I don’t think Gordon is a massive upgrade.
Leão or Kvaratskhelia would be on my shopping list, yes I know that is very ambitious, but if we do win a major trophy this season (which I am confinced we will), these are the sort of players we need to attract to really kick on.
Kia, I’ve watched Leão a few times for AC Milan and every time all he does is walk around the pitch. So it would be a no for me.

If i were considering raiding Newcastle to bolster our squad i would focus on young Lewis Miley who has been outstanding this season in a number of roles.Apart from being commanding physically , he is quick, athletic and intelligent and has a calmness of temperament which will stand him in good stead throughout his career.He is also a very formidible presence in the air which will no doubt appeal to set piece coaches who seem to have become an increasingly important cog in the team management these days.Perhaps significantly, Newcastle’s recent slump has coincided with injuries to Miley, Livramento and Guimares and they seem to lack the depth needed to be serious contenders to make the top four this season.
To be honest, I feel Arsenal should not waste funds on expensive players where there are suitable and equally good players.
We let Semenyo go to City despite his talent and self declared interest in joining Arsenal. We now have to chase Anthony Gordon as the legitimate target that could cost us £100mil. Tonali and the Livramento should not be in that price bracket, except Newcastle will exploit our gullibility and demand those extortionist prices. Players of their quality are available all around the different leagues in the world for cheaper.
