Arsenal facing NINE games in December – Emery’s rotations will be fully tested

There is always a lot of anticipation ahead of the dreaded busy Christmas schedule, and looking at the fixtures that have been changed for the TV stations today it made me look closer at our future fixtures, as Christmas is looming closer every day….

Arsenal finish November with an amazing 3500 mile round trip to Vorskla Poltava on the evening of Thursday 29th, and after returning on the Friday morning they then have just two days to prepare for the North London Derby! And then just three more days before going to Old Trafford. Here is the schedule already decided…

That is one gruelling schedule for the Gunners and that doesn’t even include the Caraboa Cup Quarter Final which is on the 19th December. We usually get at least that far in the competition most years, and Unai Emery seems keen to try and play his best team possible in every competition. the coach will certainly have to mix and match his players but hopefully we will already have qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League by then, so could send a weakened squad to Vorskla and play kids against Qarabag. We will need all our very best players rested for the crucial games against Tottenham and Man United…..

Hopefully we will be up challenging at the top of the League by then, but we will certainly know how good we are after December when we also have to play Liverpool, as well as United and the Spuds…

Onwards and Upwards!

  1. No need to discuss the December’s games as we are still in mid October

Emery will have to think about Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Liverpool first, before worrying about December

  2. We have the Squad and we have the players.Emery should be able to name 11 Tea Ladies for the Qurabag game so it’s only the League games he has to consider.Lets not forget ALL the teams will be facing the same number of games so it’s not just us that will be attempting to keep the players fresh. It goes without saying the games against 5pur5 and Manure will demand our strongest team.Livepool away too.So between these games Emery can rotate a few in every game which he will do.We should hopefully have both Kos and AMN back to fitness so that only helps us Squad wise.If we can avoid injuries and suspensions there is no reason we can’t do well in December and not like we did under Wenger where we continually seemed to produce poor form and results.

  3. That is a lot of games!!! Have to say t do love the Christmas schedule though, surrounded by your family at Christmas sat watching the football ? brilliant!
Hope we win all of them (but 3 especially!!)
The times are an hour out though Admin ? here in windy England, not sunny Spain!

      1. What a heinous crime Pat, forgetting about British time being different! But Sue , being the sweet lady she is will certainly forgive you. As you can see, I have nothing of relevance or interest to say right now, so am contenting myself with this inane rubbish . I hope YOU can forgive ME!

  4. I believe arsenal have the squad to do well this season. Off topic:did anyone see the torrera tackle on toth son yesterday?the guy is a beast

  5. Our best 11 for those 3 games
    Manu… Liverpool.. Spuds
    …………………..leno…………….
    Bell………. Kos…… Sok….. Mon….
    ……………….torr………………………..
    ……………xaka… Amn……….

    Iwobi……… Laca……… Auba…….

  6. I would only say is gonna be a very difficult run…especially against the top six u know…but I see a different team with more ambition… with more zeal to play…its been a while I see my Arsenal like this…so I us winning 6 of those….maybe 1or 2 losses….and that’s another good run for January to now predict our position… come may….cos already o see us not coming below any of our city rivals…and the (prodigy’s )as they call us…might just go all the way to clinch our 14th league title overall….
