If that’s true, then this club regarding transfers outgoing’s along with some of their contract dealings are fast becoming a laughing stock.
How can any team give a player a pay rise with no contract extension. Trossard must be laughing all the way to his bank. 🤦♂️

One stone that could kill two birds is the Crystal Palace Man, I could see him starting ahead of Odegaard when the low blocks team come to town, he could also help the under pressure Martineli on the left.
But reliable sources claims the extension of the Nwaneri kid contact effectively blocked the persue of Eze.
I was told a long while ago, we wanted to keep Trossard and possibly sell Martinelli, while he had value. We had a player in mind to replace Martinelli and Trossard would be used as a back up. Trossard has been given a payrise but I know for a fact, that Arsenal have had no interest in Martinelli. Rumours Bayern were interested but not concrete. Also the player we wanted was not Madueke. Its a strange one, unless something major happens, and I don’t see it, we are not now selling Trossard or Martinelli. Madueke was bought to cover the left, so I am confused.
Eze would have been a great option but he is going to Spurs. We need another attacking midfielder who can also play LW.
Seems we may forever remain 1 or 2 players short. Was the case for much of Wenger’s time, and it has carried over into Arteta’s tenure as well.
IMHO, any LW we bring in needs to be creative to help Odegaard, and produce in isolation and without the support the right side enjoys.
Not an easy player to find (if at all), and what would be the likely cost and wages?
Berta has an important problem to solve it seems.

Why then can’t we sign another creative midfielder with a totally different skill-set to Odegaard to bring dynamism to our midfield?
Someone that will create for both the right and the left wing not a one dimensional player.

It’s funny reading back all our worries about transfers.
The one thing about Arsenal’s policies in this regard has been (generally speaking) keeping the pundits and us guessing. And on this occasion, they certainly have.
Silverware is all we need! Period!
