Arsenal injury woes exposed with ANOTHER Gunner out long term

You could not make it up Gooners. Even those of us Arsenal fans who have become somewhat numb to the constant and numerous injury problems that our club has to cope with, the build up of Arsenal players getting injuries and then missing lengthy periods out of the game can get too much and I for one am thoroughly pig sick of it all.

At least the latest injury blow for Arsenal is not to one of the players currently playing for the first team under the belaguered boss Arsene Wenger, but the young academy striker Stephy Mavididi, who Metro reports was left in tears after finding out that the hamstring problem he picked up playing on loan for Charlton Athletic was worse than feared and will need surgery which will see him miss around four months.

The Charlton manager Karl Robinson revealed how gutted the young Gunner is and that the former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright had given him a call to offer his condolences and try to cheer him up.

Robinson said, ‘It’s going to be 14-16 weeks.

‘Hopefully he’ll have an operation by the end of the week, it’s come away from the bone we think. The kid was in tears this morning on the phone to me. The overriding emotion from that was sickening. The kid’s been tremendous for us.

‘We wish Stephy the quickest recovery possible. He’s a credit to his family, a credit to Arsenal FC.

‘I’d hope to have him back next year but that’s in the hands of Arsenal.

‘I spoke to Ian Wright today and he gave him a phonecall for me to try and gee him up and talk about the injuries he’s had.

‘We’ll do everything possible we can emotionally to support him and get him back on his feet. He’s a tremendous kid and a tremendous talent, it’s a real sickener to all of us.’

The problem is that this sort of thing seems to be par for the course for Arsenal players, as we have seen recently with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla. Is this further proof that the club has a serious problem to solve?

Bob.

  1. A speedy recovery to the kid and tell him not to worry too much as this long term injury makes him an Arsenal player through and through and I’m sure that uncle Wenger is writing him up a 10 year contract extension as we speak ??

  2. I read that ? ?zil was sent home from training today ?
    Apparently His sick… ?? ain’t we all? ?

    1. Board to Wenger: Either step down, or continue doing whatever the hell you want. As long as we get money we’re good!

  3. Injury while playing, not sitting. Playing for Charlton, not Arsenal. The whole article is stupid beyond relief. After Charlton fscked our player they wish him speedy recovery. Idiots
