Jorrel Hato has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, despite only joining Chelsea last year, making the prospect of a transfer between the London rivals an intriguing one.
The Dutch defender signed a long-term contract with Chelsea after establishing himself as one of the youngest players to captain Ajax. His leadership qualities and consistent performances made him one of the club’s brightest young talents before his move to England.
Despite being only 20, Hato made almost 100 competitive appearances for Ajax before joining Chelsea, underlining the experience he had already gained at a young age.
Arsenal Offered Chance To Sign Hato
Arsenal are continuing to strengthen their squad following a highly successful 2025/2026 campaign and have been linked with several players during the current transfer window.
Intermediaries have reportedly presented the Gunners with the opportunity to sign Hato, who is regarded as one of the most promising defenders in the Premier League.
According to the Chelsea Chronicle, Hato has been offered to Arsenal this summer, leaving Xabi Alonso with a decision to make as he assesses his squad and potential transfer targets.
Transfer Decision Awaits
The report suggests Hato would welcome the opportunity to join Arsenal, given the club’s recent success and ambition to continue competing for major honours.
Arsenal have previously completed transfers involving Chelsea players, with Noni Madueke making the move to North London last year before contributing to the club’s Premier League title-winning campaign and England’s third-place finish at the World Cup.
Whether Arsenal decide to pursue the opportunity remains uncertain, but Hato’s age, experience and versatility could make him an attractive option if the club choose to strengthen their defensive options before the transfer window closes.

Hato stays at chelsea, I suggest
And thereafter, Morgan Rogers will be the next to be sending emissaries on a potential move as we will learn he had been always a Gunner …….
Today I read that Chelsea have had an offer for Scott turned down by Bournemouth, and their also interested in Stones.
And now their putting their plan into action. Offering us their latest dud, will we fall for it!.
Derek,
Chelsea have spent gazillions on buying up potential and lots of them too. They do, therefore, have an awful lot of players on their books, some of which need to be sold on. Not all of them are duffers and may have been misused or not players of choice of past managers. I get your point but you do have to put some faith in Arsenal and their transfer policy. I would not describe either Havertz or Madueke as duds.
On one hand there are posters who want the latest big name and on the other there is the valid issue that there are gems out there that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
SueP,
There was an element of tongue in cheek with my post. And I do hear what you say.
But Chelsea do like a big spend-up don’t they. 😂
I suspect the highly combustible Fernandez, will be leaving Chelsea, and after his appalling antics during the World Cup final I for one will be delighted to see him go.His likely departure no doubt influenced Chelsea to bid for the very talented Mr Scott who i would be delighted to welcome to Arsenal.
It wouldn’t be right, if we didn’t sign a Chelsea reject this summer?
I for one will throw a party to see both Madueke and Kai Harvertz gone, how can we have other ones. Noooo
