Arsenal linked with teenager wanted by Europe’s elite

Arsenal linked with a move for RB Salzburg teenager Karim Adeyemi.

The latest transfer rumours doing the rounds claim that Arsenal want to sign RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi

The teenager has been in fine form for the Austrian side’s feeder team, Liefering and his performances have attracted the interest of some of Europe’s top sides.

Adeyemi started his career at Bayern Munich but left the German champions to pursue a senior career elsewhere. He has since developed into one of the best young strikers in Austria.

The Gunners are rivalled by Liverpool and Barcelona in their bid to sign him. The Reds have watched him closely as he turned out against their U19 side in the UEFA Youth League.

While Liverpool and Arsenal have been monitoring him, Barcelona has reportedly made a bid of €15m. That bid was reportedly rejected and the Catalans haven’t returned with a better offer.

Arsenal has apparently been attracted to Adeyemi after the success of Gabriel Martinelli. The young Brazilian joined Arsenal from Ituano over the summer and he has been a revelation.

Adeyemi would prioritize his development at this stage of his career, it is unclear if Arsenal would be able to convince him to make the move from a team where he plays regularly.

To be honest, I know nothing about the young lad. I have watched a video of him and he looks decent. However, we all know that videos can be misleading. I also do not understand why we would want him when we have an abundance of young strikers already.

It is November and the transfer window opens in the next eight weeks or so. This means the gossip will very shortly kick into overdrive. This particular piece of speculation is probably just the start of an avalanche of rumours about to descend upon us all.

  1. Our starting defence is very weak

We are fine at LB with Tierney and Kolsanic
    Holding is a good CB

We need better RB and CB

    Bellerin isn’t a strong defender
He is more of a winger
    Chambers should concentrate on CB
Niles isn’t a defender let alone a RB

Mustafi, Sokratis, Luiz aren’t good enough CBs
Emery has made some fine signings ie Pepe, Guendouzi, Torreira, Martinelli but Sokratis is his worst signing

    Mavrapanos is an unknown factor
Saliba is a question mark too

In summer we need to strengthen our defence and get a Quality Creative midfielder or 2

    1. Some good points BUT you are in a minority of a tiny few Gooners who have ANY regard for Kolas as a defender. HE HAS AMPLY PROVEN THAT HE CANNOT DEFEND!

      1. I beg to differ

Kolasinac is a good in defending, but he is not impressive in attacking, injury-prone and his stamina seems low. He was selected as the best Bundesliga LB in 2015/16 and 2016/17

Tierney would force him to work harder, if he stays at Arsenal beyond this season

    2. I agree Arsenal need an excellent RB

Ricardo Pereira was great in attacking when he was playing for Nice, on a loan from Porto. I think Arsenal didn’t rate him at that time and Leicester eventually snapped him up

Alvaro Odriozola looks promising. If we can’t get Vinicius Jr or Ceballos from Real Madrid, we have to try to get him

  2. Great idea? Let’s sell Aubameyang + Lacazette and use Adeyemi + Martinelli + Nketiah to replace them next season

The problem is 15+ M is too high of a gamble for an unproven teenager. Unless that boy is as gifted as the young Cristiano Ronaldo when he went to Man United

Alexis Claude-Maurice was also our target and he was a hot prospect, but he doesn’t light Ligue 1 up in this season. Arsenal need to assess a non-EPL attacker thoroughly before purchasing him, otherwise we could end up with another Gervinho or Pepe

  3. “AN AVALANCHE OF RUMOURS THEN” MARTIN you say? Well who exactly is it that keeps feeding this site with rumours , most of which you yourself say have no legs to them! I would like to repectfully ask you why you think it your prime job to keep distributing rumours that you yourself say are never going to happen. I mean, ANYONE can write red herrings about all sorts of things in football, as in life generally. But what does that achieve for your readers, except that it feeds this site but not with wholesome food but rather with junk food and that, as we all know, makes one unhealthy. Your call of course but we who have opinions are betraying the fan honesty needed on this and any fan site , if we fail to bring them to your attention. Agreed?

    1. Whether you like it or not rumours are part of the game but let’s look at your statement. I mean, we would not want readers on here being misled now, would we Jon? Keep feeding the site with rumours? Such a shame you do not do your due diligence before making yet another false allegation but no problem, used to it with you. This month, so far I have done four rumour articles out of, wait for it, 73 articles. My god, you are right, there is an avalanche of rumours from me. Last month, ten rumours from me out of well over 200 articles. I better cut down, the site is getting inundated with rumours. Now, these massive numbers of rumours, the entire 5% do not carry misleading headlines and ALWAYS come with an opinion but I get where you are coming from, one rumour every 25 or so articles is just toooooo much. Keep up the good work Jon, always appreciate your comments full of facts backed up by research. I mean, I would never accuse you of making statements on here that are simply false. Far too many others remind you of that for me to get involved.

      1. Martin, Fact is as you yourself admit that a number of your articles are rumours. What the overall percentage is it totally irrelevant. Rumour articles which you mostly admit are false when you post them are a waste of this site and should not be used even to fill constant space which you seem desperate to fill, almost hourly at times. Five is five too many. Simple as that! That is my take anyway though it is your site, as we are becoming increasingly aware.

        1. We do not just cater to you, Jon. Read what you want, do not read what you don’t want to read. It really is not rocket science.

  4. No point signing anyone anymore unless emery is gone. Even if arsenal sign Messi,Ronaldo,Mbappe,Neymar, the best of the best, we still lose.

  5. I hope we go for a CM player in Jan, and maybe another young CB. Two players around the age of 21 for a decent price, it’d be better if they had English league experience but for the best hopefuls I think we’ll need to look abroad. Maybe we should have another look at S America with Martinelli looking like the find of the season along with KT & WS, looks a real prospect, allot of hard work still ahead but I believe in the lad.

GK, this is another one, am not sold on Leno, he may get better but some shots which beat him do look a good height and he seems to misjudge a little. He’s been good at times too. Martinez, I thought he could be a challenge for number one spot, but the lad needs regular games but he’s never had that, it might be a little late, we should keep looking because it’s a crucial area, again maybe look into the south A market.

I’d like to see Edu flex his muscles after him working over there before arriving here. I think Edu might have noted some of them already, and Raul likes working that market too, so I expect to see more S American’s arrive and this market is one example of why Raul and Edu were maybe brought here. Fans have been wanting us to tap into that market for years.

  6. Firstly, board will sign haaland, ziyech, oyarzabal, hintereger and brought Enrique for manager
you people will just see how arsenal will look like
