Arsenal’s long-running pursuit of Vinicius Jr has reportedly taken another significant step forward, with claims that the Premier League champions have now reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with the Real Madrid superstar.
According to HandofArsenal, the Gunners have agreed terms with the Brazilian international, while his representatives at Roc Nation are now set to enter negotiations with Real Madrid armed with what has been described as a “monstrous” offer.

Another twist in an increasingly fascinating saga
This latest report arrives just days after Sky Sports suggested Arsenal’s hopes of signing Vinicius Jr had suffered a setback, with Real Madrid still optimistic that the winger would remain at the Santiago Bernabéu and eventually agree a new contract.
However, as we discussed at the time, Real Madrid’s confidence was always just one side of the story. While the Spanish giants may remain hopeful of keeping their star man, no agreement has yet been announced, leaving plenty of room for speculation over the player’s long-term future.
Earlier this week, reports also claimed Arsenal had no intention of abandoning their interest despite the difficulties involved in completing what would undoubtedly be one of the biggest transfers in football history.

Negotiations could now move to the next stage
If this latest update is accurate, agreeing personal terms would represent a major milestone.
While convincing Vinicius Jr of the project has always appeared likely to be one hurdle, negotiating a fee with Real Madrid has always looked the far greater challenge.
The report claims Roc Nation will now lead discussions with the Spanish club on Arsenal’s behalf, with the Gunners prepared to submit a huge financial package in an attempt to tempt Los Blancos into doing business.
Whether Real Madrid are prepared to entertain such an offer remains to be seen, particularly given Vinicius Jr’s importance to the club.
A transfer story that refuses to go away
Whatever the outcome, Arsenal’s interest in Vinicius Jr shows no sign of fading.
After reports that the Gunners were refusing to walk away from the race, followed by suggestions Real Madrid remained confident of keeping their star winger, this latest claim adds another intriguing chapter to one of the summer’s biggest transfer stories.
If personal terms have indeed been agreed in principle, attention will inevitably turn towards whether Arsenal can persuade Real Madrid to negotiate.

Game changer for Arsenal if we manage to get him. Together the VJ & Guimaraes deal will take us to a new level. And with possibility of another striker & defender added to the squad – should make for quite some season!
He hasn’t got what he wanted. Is it enough? Or is he coming?
Looks like he’s back in the Arsenal news big time, so we might as well buy him.
Yeah as expected, few command his allure rn in world sport
Arsenal paid Ozil and Aubameyang mammoth fee when we were in the trenches, say less of now!
Finance has never been in doubt
Only issue is real madrid make a U and cave in now(which is unthinkable), how do we manage the optics that may well read eggs on our faces
If we sign him and Guimaraes, I expect that;
1. Martinelli will leave
2. Merino would leave
That’s a real upgrade. We would be among the Champions League favourites alongside PSG, Barcelona and Bayern
Goodluck w Arteta leaving a la Eddie Howe (bruno/merino; strawmen)
haha, could be a joke tho
Merino done ok, I would sell Zubimendi. I doubt he will get much time with Rice, Guimarez and MLS. Merino is versatile. Zubimendi was a poor buy.
Vjr, would be an absolute game changer for Arsenal his stats are off the charts. I have massive reservations as to whether we can actually get him. Far better than Barcola and Alvarez and a true superstar. 🤞
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Zubi and Merino will stay. Four trophies available two sets of 6&8 needed with support from the MLS
If we sign Vini along with Bruno We would have the best wingers in the league, the best double pivot in the league, the best CB pairing in prem, the best right back in the league, and the best GK in the league We would look world class
I wonder how we believe this kind of report. VJ isn’t coming to Arsenal. This is all smoke and mirror speculation from media and agent forcing Real Madrid to bend towards VJ image right demand.
He has contract till 2027 and will not come cheap this summer and we will not be offering £500k net weekly salary. Doubting the quality of players we have compared to real Madrid.
If available next year on free transfer which I doubt will be the case, then the big guns like PSG, Mancity and Chelsea will be all out for him making it competitive.
For Bruno too, with all the unsettling, He will not also come cheap and we will probably be paying minimum of £80M to get him.
We all knew how long rice deal dragged before we could pay £100M+ for him. I just don’t think Berta will get deal done quickly. He could sign players like Tzolis (£34M) and Madueke (£60M) quickly off the line but when it comes to major deals that will benefit the club, he often drags.
I’m still scratching my head at the fact that Vini is repped by Jay-Z? 😳
He’s a Gooner, isn’t he?
Arsenal moving like an Elite Club far as I can see which is most encouraging. Same time I don’t see anyone being shown the exit yet… which has to be expected at the same time, right?
