Arsenal making hay while the sun shines! Poor Middlesbrough!

Poor old Middlesbrough must be seriously worried about their chances of staying in the Premier League next season. The choice of bringing in the inexperienced Spaniard Aitor Karanka as manager has not been a success so far, and since beating Sunderland in the second game of the season they have suffered defeats to Palace, Everton, Spurs and Watford and have only managed two points from draws with West Brom and West Ham.

They must be extremely worried about now going to the Emirates to face an in-form Arsenal side, who their goalkeeper described as one of the best teams in the world. Valdes said yesterday: “It will be a special game for us, in a good atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium,”

“When you are in the Premier League you are always against very good teams and players.

“But I think they are one of the best teams in the world right now, so it will be very hard.

“It’s part of the football here. The only thing I can say is that we must keep going, keep improving, and try to win three points.”

They can try but how much hope can they have? Arsenal are flying with 7 straight wins in a row, and have incredibly lost just one of their last 26 games at home in all competitions, so their confidence is sky high.

Poor old Middlesbrough must be shaking in their boots while Arsenal are beating all and sundry. You can only beat what is put in front of you, and the Gunners strikers must be relishing the thought of getting some more target practise against one of the worst teams in the division right now.

Onwards and upwards! COYG!
