Arsenal MUST keep UCL record star BECAUSE he wants to go

After Arsenal lost 5-1 at home to Bayern Munich on Tuesday to confirm our Champions League exit with a record 10-2 aggregate humbling, it was hard to even think about anything positive, never mind to actually find any from the Arsenal performances.

There were a few, though, especially from our strong showing in the first half when barring the rubbish referee we would have clawed back two of the goals we needed. The biggest positive point may have passed you by, as it did a few of the Bayern players, as the powerful and dynamic Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain burst past them no fewer than 10 times, thereby equalling this season’s Champions League record set by Monaco winger Nabil Dirar.

The Ox has been showing some real class and impact this season so that is one reason why Arsenal should be intent on keeping him. I am sure that most of the fans have been wanting to see more from him in recent years but Wenger has not given him enough time on the pitch in my opinion.

Maybe that is why Metro is reporting that Chamberlain wants to leave the club this summer, but the main reason in the report is that he is fed up with the lack of burning ambition at Arsenal. That to me shows why we must keep him and match his ambitions. Players like him and Alexis Sanchez, who are not content with simply qualifying for the Champions League every year but getting nowhere near actually winning it are what the team needs.

Will the Ox leave? Does it depend on Arsenal getting a new manager and showing some teeth in the transfer market?

  1. He will be back on the wings against Lincoln in another typical tactical masterclass from football genius Monsieur Arsene Wenger.Long may he reign!

  2. Ox the Champions league record holder πŸ™‚
    Admin having a laugh again.
Here’s me falling for the click bait.
    More fool me πŸ™‚
Ox ran past players 10 times to become a Champions league record holder πŸ™‚
He also holds the record for the most zero end product runs in the same game.
He also holds the record for games played by a player named
Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain for Arsenal between 2011 and 2017. Amazing !!!

  3. Zinedine Zidane has opened up on why he headbutted Marco Materazzi during the 2006 World Cup Final. Zidane said, “He dragged my shirt, I ignored him. He called my mother a whore, I ignored him. He called my father a terrorist, I also ignored.

Then I lost my temper when he told me to go and join Arsenal.”

  4. We’ve been missing that dribbling ability as-well as Cazorla’s passing all season. You need CM to have some drive going forward, Ox is a strong lad and wont get pushed off so easy. With enough time he could become a very good player in that position, he is one of the few who has all round qualities. We can definitely use him. Before the season started I must admit I wanted to see some players gone, and Ox, I would have named high up on that list, not as high as Theo, but definitely up there. This season has shown me that we have too many one sided players, I’d keep Oxlade now but would still love to see someone like Bakayoko coming in, who himself has terrific dribbling ability.

      “With enough time Ox
      might become a good player..”
Ox is completing his 7th year in the EPL
      A veteran almost.
But then things take time at Arsenal.
Miyaichi 4 years Sanogo 4 years, Ox 7 years, Gibbs 7 years,
Ramsey 7 years, Wilshere 9 years, Walcott 11 years.
But they will all come good one day πŸ™‚

      1. How about Cole? Cesc? Vieira? Anelka? Nasri? Bellerin?
If only we had more support workers at Arsenal who could work on selling the players who do not step up faster so they can be replaced faster…

We have some good players now and IMO what we need to do is get rid of some of the players ASAP.

Oh and Theo is having a good season so far, I want to see him start on the right, 15 goals in 26 games is nice from the right, esp as he does run back and help defend now as well. He isn’t a great defender but neither is Alexis who made a defensive error which lead to a goal against Bayern.

  5. Didn’t he like a post wanting wenger out a few weeks ago, before coming out to say it was a mistake?????

Some of these players know the truth..won’t blame any player for leaving…changes come at a cost, and am well prepared!
