Arsenal must move fast to stop Juventus’ Cazorla transfer swoop

Arsenal fans still have a couple of months to wait before the opening of the January transfer window and the usual stressful wait to see if Arsene Wenger is going to spend any more of the club’s huge cash reserves to strengthen the Arsenal playing squad.

Unless something is done in these two months, however, there could be some very bad news for us in January, with The Mirror reporting that the Serie A champions Juventus are looking to make a swoop for our Spanish international midfield star Santi Cazorla in the winter window.

And there would be little that the Gunners could do to fight off the interest from the Italian giants, as Cazorla would be free to sign a pre-contact agreement with them or any other club as his current contract is due to run out at the end of this season.

The little Spaniard may not be getting any younger, but at 31-years old there is plenty of life in his legs and he has been a key player in the middle of the pitch for us this season, highlighted by how much we missed his passing and creative skills in the draw with Middlesborough at the weekend.

Is it just me or have Arsenal already been remiss in not having already tied Cazorla up to a new deal? How bad would it be to lose the super Spaniard, and on a free transfer as well?
