Ethan Nwaneri has been linked with a move to teams such as AC Milan and Galatasaray, as Arsenal are now ready to cash in on the Hale End graduate, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Olympique Marseille.
There was interest in him from some clubs in England, but the Gunners wanted him to develop under the guidance of Roberto de Zerbi, which was the case until the Italian was sacked. His time in France forced him to mature quickly, while the change of manager showed him how brutal the world of football can be.
Nwaneri Faces Arsenal Exit
Nwaneri is back at the Emirates, but his playing situation has not changed. If all Arsenal’s first team players are fit, the Englishman is unlikely to get many opportunities to play for the team.
He will therefore have to leave if he wants regular game time, and Football365 says Arsenal now anticipate that a Premier League club will show interest in his signature.
The Gunners see Nwaneri as an ideal player for many teams in the league, and if he wants to remain in England, Arsenal expect some clubs to show interest in signing him. His experience with Marseille could also make him better prepared for another challenge.
Nwaneri’s development has been closely watched since he broke through at Arsenal, but regular playing time could now become the most important factor in deciding his next move.
Arsenal Expect Premier League Interest
Nwaneri would have loved to remain at Arsenal, but he also understands that his career will not progress if he continues to stay on the bench.
A move away from the Emirates could therefore allow him to play more regularly and continue developing. Arsenal, meanwhile, could benefit financially from his departure while allowing the youngster to find a club where he can play a more important role.
With AC Milan and Galatasaray already linked with the midfielder, interest could increase before the transfer window closes. Arsenal will now wait to see whether a Premier League club approaches, while Nwaneri must decide where his future development is best served.

As long it is a loan and not a sale.
Prefer a club like Dortmund. If it is PL, maybe Brighton or Bournemouth.
I do not want to sell him for so called pure profit to use the funds to buy a Man City or Chelsea reject.
It is a risk… I hope we insert a buy-back clause in this deal. We have sold some academy players over the last few years and they all proved to be very good sales: Willock, Balogun, Nketiah, Smith-Rowe. They all left, none of them are missed, and they haven’t proven Arsenal wrong to sell them. It’s always sad to see one of your own leave the club, but if the club thinks he isn’t good enough to make the first team, then go ahead and get as much money as possible.
It was Arteta that gave him is debut when he was 15. 3 years down the line, if the same Arteta feels he doesn’t possess the mentality to break into his team, then he should be sold for the right price and with buy back clause and percentage of profits from the next sale.
I don’t quite get it – I do think he’s a player who could score plenty of goals from midfield, plus he has tenacity, skill and passing abilities in his game. If this is true, suggests there might be a problem that I’m unable to see currently – could be fitness or something in his attitude I’m not aware of.
Like with MLS, I would rather take a chance on a young player from the academy and sell off someone more experienced if it’s just about raising funds (madueke most likely candidate – get the feeling that would be too close to admitting to a mistake, though).
