Arsenal have invested heavily in their playing squad this summer and now possess the most valuable starting eleven in the Premier League. Andrea Berta and the recruitment team were tasked with improving the collective strength of the side, and as the transfer window approaches its final stages, the Gunners will be satisfied with their business.
Six players have arrived so far, taking the club’s spend on new recruits to just under £200 million. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Nørgaard, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and marquee signing Viktor Gyökeres have all joined, significantly improving the depth and quality available to Mikel Arteta.
According to Transfermarkt, Arsenal top the list for the most valuable starting eleven in the Premier League. The Gunners’ strongest line-up is valued at €840 million, which is €28 million more than rivals Manchester City in second place. Pep Guardiola’s side still have the most valuable squad in the division at €1.35 billion, but even though Arsenal’s squad value is €30 million below that figure, their strongest starting line-up is worth more.

The rankings are calculated by selecting the most valuable player in each position across the league. Arsenal had six players in the Premier League’s strongest eleven – Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel, William Saliba and David Raya – while only three Manchester City players made the cut.
This is the result of consistent investment in recent years. Three of the six Arsenal players mentioned were signed permanently in the last two years, while Saka, Saliba and Gabriel have all agreed long-term contracts within that period.
A symbolic achievement
Having the most valuable starting eleven may not directly impact Arsenal’s chances of winning silverware this season, but it is a clear reflection of the club’s ambition and progress. It underlines the quality now assembled in north London and the strong position from which they will challenge for major honours.

Arsenal overtake Manchester City to boast Premier League’s most valuable starting XI, the article says. Do we get a trophy for that.
I would have preferred to have overtaken Manchester City in Season’s 2022/2023 or 2023/2024, that would have been more meaningful.

Derek. I suspect the owners are happy with their investment. btw, as a side note, KSE has recently been rated as the most valuable sporting group in the world.
I think it’s irrelevant in the scheme of things…..doesn’t mean anything in terms of winning a game how expensive the squad is s C Palace showed last Sunday
However I think it does show the good strategy of brining academy players into the squad and also buying strategy over the last few years ( eg Martinelli and Gabriel to name 2 in terms of increase in value)
Remarkable to see some still seeing negatives in. Positives …and the season hasn’t even started !
All that counts for nothing , what counts are two aspects
1. Trophies won
2. Income from player sales.
Till date we have won nothing major with Arteta’s squad (FA cup not counted as that was Wenger’s/Emery’s squad) and have been awful in letting talent leave with little to no monetary income (Nketiah, Willock and SmithRow being exceptions).Hope this season is different.
Tot’s in their worst season still managed the UEFA, just saying!
All it does is illustrate a depth in quality – which is no bad thing..
As others have remarked, in effect, so what? Actually, it could be seen as a negative rather than a positive should Arsenal again not win a trophy in the coming season. All that “value” and nothing to show for it etc.
I don’t place much emphasis on supposed transfer estimates in any case. The only figure that matters is what another club is prepared, in the end, to pay for a player.
I’m sure that the six or seven Arsenal players which the club would like to sell this summer all have a value on Transfermarkt, but that doesn’t mean anyone will pay it, or in the worst case scenario, pay anything. It all depends upon demand at the time.
This article can only put more pressure on the gaffer to deliver.

I think the owners of the club will be ok with article..
It only proves that the owners are and have been serious about Arsenal winning the league. The money has been laid down, has been laid down more this summer. As before and he needs to prove it, Arteta has to deliver or get someone who actually can. Kronkies are delivering, the manager isn’t.
All of this doesn’t prove anything. Arsenal should have applied this level of energy three seasons ago, which was arguably their best chance to win. I anticipate more disappointment with these new signings, as there are players who should have been let go while one strong player has been released.
We may have the most valuable squad but I’m afraid my Arsenal are still short at present It’s nonsense to think Nwaneri can do an equal job to Eze Nwaneri has great potential but not ready to play week in week out he has not got that consistency yet as for Dowman Great prospect but he won’t be in first team reckoning for at least four years This is, why Eze is needed he is used to the premier league and a player proven he could supplement Odegaard or usurp him and would be my first choice on the wing With summer signings Only one I think is a definite good buy is Zubimendi an upgrade on Partey by a long way Norgaatd good squad player update with more mileage than Jorginho Gyokeres hopefully will be a success but not guaranteed Kepa could possibly push Raya Mosquera is he any better than Kiwior? The less said about the other signing from Chelsea the better We should have kept that 50 million to put towards purchase of Eze Ive been supporting Arsenal since just before the first double in 1971 but go into the new season thinking the squad without Eze will win.nothing With Eze it could be a fantastic season
