Arsenal player ratings from Burnley – Alexis MOTM

It was not really too difficult tp pick a Man of the Match from the Arsenal win over Burnley in the fourth round of the FA cup, despite some impressive performances from the likes of Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers, Alex Iwobi and the Ox because the star man Alexis Sanchez scored the winner and set up the opener as well as being the best player on the pitch.

Ospina 6 – Goal not his fault but some nerves early on. Recovered well.

Chambers 7.5 – Great goal and impressive game, especially going forward.

Gabriel 6.5 – A couple of early mistakes and beaten too easily for their goal. Good apart from that.

Koscielny 7 – Got away with his one mistake and defended well.

Gibbs 7.5 – Very good from the England man. Deserves to play more on that showing.

Coquelin 6.5 – A touch rusty but got better and great to have him back.

Elneny 7 – Was everywhere on a generally very good debut. Too easily outmuscled at times and needs more discipline.

Chamberlain 7.5 – Lively and dangerous in a confidence boosting game. Great run and cross to assist Sanchez.

Iwobi 7.5 – Looks the real deal. Great vision and technical skill with a cool head.

Alexis 8.5 – Brilliant and what a difference he makes to Arsenal.

Giroud 6 – Some good stuff but not enough impact and his flicks did not quite come off.

subs:
Rosicky 6 – Nice to see him back and looking sharp.

Arteta 6 – Strong 20 minutes from the captain.

Walcott 5 – Fluffed a great chance to score.
