Arsenal rejects a bid from championship outfit Brentford for young striker Folarin Balogun.
Arsenal is reported to have turned down a £5 million bid plus add ons for prolific scorer Folarin Balogun according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Brentford is not the only club apparently pursuing the 18-year-old. Italian giants AC Milan are also said to be interested in the young sensation.
Make no mistake, Balogun really is a sensation, he scored 25 goals in 18 under 18 games for the Gunners youth team last season and that included three hat-tricks. He has continued to find the back of the net this season despite a series of minor injuries knocking in seven goals in 12 games for the U23’s.
It is, therefore, no surprise that clubs are sniffing around the youngster, he is simply one of the very best young strikers at youth level in Europe.
On the face of it, AC Milan being interested in the teenager may have seemed a little surprising until you realise that Ivan Gazidis is the AC Milan CEO, he clearly knows how good Balogun is from his time at Arsenal.
Considering the potential of Balogun £5 million is far too low a valuation, this is a young lad that could become a world-class forward if he continues with his development right through to the first team.
It would have been madness if Arsenal would have agreed to sell him for such a paltry amount.
It is going to take a lot more than £5 million to lure him away from the Emirates.

Balogun is a real talent and Arsenal must not sell him. The mistake of selling Bielik should not be repeated. We must retain our best talent and the Academy must grow. We should have inhouse talent for our main team rather than paying millions for non Academy players.
Have we got him tied down? Does he want to stay? Why has he not been in the first team? Can we lose him to another team later for nothing?
He has 18 months left on his contract so Arsenal need to move fast and get him to sign a new long term contract be a massive mistake if we let this kid go!!

Balogun will not be sold, he is definitely the next big thing in the striking department.
He really is the real deal, will be promoted to first team squad soon and way better than Nketiah etc.

Let’s hope he makes it to the next level at Arsenal rather than go off elsewhere to do it for someone else. I looked him up and he is from the US. Not overly tall or heavy-would this be a problem?

Sell him very cheap but with a buy back clause and first refusal option at a reasonable sum.
If you keep him here, he will not develop because he will not get enough play time to improve.
Don’t make Mistake Bielik is not from our academy and again we sent him on loan to gain more experience in england lower league and he did great during is loan Spell as per say but when he return back from loan he demand he want to started playing regular and Emery said he can’t approve that because he’s still young for that which is true and don’t Forget we still got Chambers and holding apart from other senior players we have at the back line so i don’t see why we should not let him go
Petit has made a lot sense here. I support a sale that has a buy-back clause that won’t be killing on us later in life. keeping him at Arsenal at this moment will be too counter productive for the young man. there are too many strikers ahead of him at the moment.
