Arsenal reported to be keen on making a move for Man Utd target

Arsenal linked with a move for Lyon hitman Moussa Dembele.

Arsenal is said to be interested in beating Manchester United to the signature of French forward Moussa Dembele.

The Gunners had a limited summer transfer window but were still able to bring in the likes of Nicolas Pepe. However, reports in the media claims that Arsenal are still looking to add another attacker to their arsenal.

Dembele joined Lyon from Celtic last season and went on to score 20 times in 46 games. He has continued where he stopped last season with 6 goals in 9 league games so far.

Arsenal does have two of the Premier League’s most potent strikers in Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. However, that does not mean signing Dembele would not be a good move. In fact, it would be a great move.

Dembele is one of the best number nines in the world at the moment and has a good eye for goals. He is good with both feet as well as his head and he has shown that he can thrive in any league from his time at Fulham, Celtic, and now Lyon.

Being 23 is also a major advantage for Arsenal as they would be signing a player that could be at the top of his game for as long as a decade.

That said, this is transfer gossip and should be treated as such. However, as gossip goes, this is one I can live with. Dembele is quality and if we have to endure speculation, then much better it is about quality as opposed to dross.
