Arsenal reportedly looking to offload outcast to a Bundesliga club

Report – Arsenal planning to send Granit Xhaka back to the Bundesliga.

Arsenal is plotting to sell Granit Xhaka to the Bundesliga in January so claims the latest transfer rumours.

Xhaka has been at the receiving end of some harsh criticisms from the Arsenal fans in recent times. It reached boiling point in their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

The midfielder was jeered as he was being substituted by Unai Emery and he responded by swearing at the crowd.

He failed to apologise for his actions until the following week and he may never play for the Gunners again.
Xhaka has since been stripped of the captaincy and hasn’t turned out for the Gunners since that incidence.

While the club has defended Xhaka, it appears he may never get the chance to rebuild his reputation at Arsenal.

Reports from CalcioMercato claims that Arsenal are looking to cash in on him. The report claims that Arsenal wants to sell Xhaka to a foreign side and are targetting clubs in the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old was signed from Borussia Monchengladbach, but his former club has ruled out making a move for the Swiss captain.

I have no idea if there is any traction to these rumours but it does appear increasingly likely that Xhaka will be sold. Whether it is to a Bundesliga outfit is anyone’s guess at this moment in time.

The upside is that if Xhaka is sold in January Arsenal will most likely seek a replacement in the same transfer window.

  1. Kenny Rolfe says:

Hopefully any club that’s interested in him believes we’re selling because of his bad behaviour otherwise if it’s about his ability we’ll be stuck with him till the end of his contract. Should have got rid of him last year when he cost us Champions League football, however probably saved us some embarrassing defeats with this clown Emery in charge.

    1. RSH says:

to be fair the entire squad cost us UCL football multiple times. UEL final, and several games towards end of the season were the fault of various different players.

      1. Kenny Rolfe says:

RSH, no one was more responsible for losing out on Champions League football than Xhaka. Not only for his poor performances but the pulling back of the Brighton player when the ball was going clearly out of play has got to be the worse and most stupid piece of defending I’ve ever seen from a professional footballer. Thinking that no one was looking was beyond belief. However, you’re certainly right to some extent on the performances of the rest of the squad.

        1. Aeontisty says:

I wonder if we watched the same match, making statement like “but the pulling back of the Brighton player when the ball was going clearly out of play has got to be the worse and most stupid piece of defending I’ve ever seen from a professional footballer.” tells me you clearly hate the player, even if you do must you lie? I don’t know you to be like this have always respected you but your above statement makes me think otherwise.
I’m only going to say this once Xhaka didn’t cost us UCL spot one match didn’t decide our fate, a run of appalling games did, heck had Aubameyang scored his penalty against Spurs we would have likely had a spot, let’s also blame it on Ramsey getting himself injured if that’s what will take the blame off our beloved coach.

      2. Mobella says:

To be fear RSH, Emery cost us the the cL qualification by persistently playing out of form mistake prone players and gambled on our last six games

        1. ozziegunner says:

I agree with RSH; you win as a team and lose as a team, including all players and the coach. If you pick out Xhaka for special attention, you also should pick out Aubameyang for missing a penalty against Spurs and various easy missed chances, Leno, Socrates, Mustafi et al for defensive errors; all players make mistakes over a season.

          1. Aeontisty says:

            Thanks ozziegunner

  2. ACE says:

    Denis Zakaria or Ibrahim Sangare
    would be significant upgrades on
Xhaka and Torreria. If I were Edu
and Raul feelers would already be
out for both players. Throw in
Mustafi and El Neny as well.

If Arsenal were able to move these
four players, add 2 of Upamecano/
    Demiral/Sangare/Zakaria and most
    importantly hand the managerial
reigns over to Arteta or Freddy L
our beloved club would be right back
in the thick of the top 4 race and
once again a joy to watch on the

Its up 2 Raul and Edu to make it

    1. John Ibrahim says:

      upgrade on Torriera too?

      Throwing in Mustafi and Elneny?

you are assuming every club will accept any players thrown in?

its better you stick to Fifa 20 or support City

      1. ACE says:

        Thx for the sarcastic suggestion
mate but I cant stand video games
        or Oil City.

If Torreria isnt going to be
        properly utilized in his best
position on the pitch than he
has no future @ the club. There
        are also the persisting rumors
that he hasnt fully embraced the
switch to North London and may be
quietly pining for a move back to

I cant help your delusions if you
honestly think there is a way
back for Xhaka, Mustafi, or El
        Neny. There collective sales
        would be disappointing but simply
        removing there ridiculous wages
from a bloated wage bill would
        be a success IMHO.

Anything else you need help with?

  3. lcebox says:

Will Not Be Missed Thats all i can say.

  4. gotanidea says:

    Sell Xhaka, buy Zaha

It will solve most of our creativity and penetration problems

    1. lcebox says:

If only that were true we are worse off than u think..

    2. Diogenes says:

A Xhak-off will definitely solve our penetration problems.

    3. John Ibrahim says:

Xhaka would fetch 40m max if lucky and we have to pay another 100m to sign an injury prone player

      1. £40M from who?! You will be lucky to get £15M for him!

        1. ozziegunner says:

Zaha somehow can play DM or CB, which are the positions Arsenal has to address?

  5. Mobella says:

Fans that believe Emery deserves time and our patience to turn things around are delusional. If we don’t sack him now things are going to get worse. Once a gain we had only mighty one pass into Vitoria box and that came from Pepe free kicks the goal Mustafi score

    1. Mobella says:

….scored from. 8 shots on the entire game and 1 on target. With Pepe, Martinelli, Cebellos in the team. I don’t expect to see anything different today and I just hope I will be able to deal with the outcome. How matches now that we have our first shot on target to come in second half if we have more than 1 and Emery believes his tactics works or we deserve to win. Win with one shot on target or maximum of 2 or 3 while the opponent having 5-10 against us. That is madness

  6. Hope we have seen the last of him. Arsenal should get a decent replacement in the heart of our midfield after selling Xhaka.

  7. Diogenes says:

The last news is Xhaka may have played his last game for Arsenal and may be loaned to Newcastle.

After that we should get around 40 M for him in the summer. He could do well in Italy where speed is not as relevant.

Should have sold him in the summer when we could have gotten a little more…
The way things developed we might even have to accept just 30 M if there are no more than one or two bidders.

    1. GunnerXyn says:

Not only in midfield, but how could Emery decide to bench Ozil, Bellerin and what was the reason for cashing in on Tierny? To me,the club should break the bank for B.Rogers then plan for transfers or else its gonna be the same even if new talented players happen to come coz Emery football is grown old in Arsenal.

  9. GunnerXyn says:

    Emery football gone

  10. Best news I’ve heard in a while! Bloody good riddance!

    1. Diogenes says:

The one thing I don’t understand:

Emery said he wanted to use Xhaka, but Xhaka has told him these last 2 games that ‘he is unavailable’.
Then is he still getting paid?
How can you make yourself unavailable for selection without being sick/injured?
Is there any other job where you would still get paid?

  11. GunnerJack says:

No problem. Bayern Munich will buy him if Wenger takes over, further weakening their team.

    1. Diogenes says:

If Wenger joins Bayern, he will not get the chance to buy the players he wants. Even Kovac didn’t.

Anyway, he would have Gnabry again, but his favourites – Xhaka, Ramsey, and Iwobi – Bayern would not help him get.

Would be fun seeing him in the CL, though.

  12. Glorious says:

Pessimistic fans are toxic to Arsenal brand

  13. Goonster says:

Exactly what I was asking for. Sell Xhaka as there is no way back for him after what he did. I would have hopes he reacted differently but I am glad he told our men-women childs to fck off.

They used to do the same to Giroud etc. Just because the likes of Xhaka, Giroud etc are not the most talented it does not mean that our petulant adult babies have the right to absolutely dehumanise them On and Off the pitch.

I say, if you think that you are big enough to give ot then be big enough to take the same treatment back.

  14. Loose Cannon says:

If Arsene to Bayern goes through, why not Xhaka to Bayern? And Arsene can take with him the prized Mustafi,Kolasinac, Ozil, Elneny, Mkhitaryan and help in moving Bayern from UCL to EL at least for a season (he will get the boot anyways, no club will tolerate pampering and mediocrity of our crop ). Best of luck Arsene, and help us rid all those you hired. These players have to leave permanently else we risk loosing Auba, Laca, Torrera as they will not be content without UCL.
Also the new coach (eventually Unai will get the sack) will not be able to work magic with those pathetic players.

  15. Sue says:

Supposedly Newcastle are interested… their fans are excited by the news! One of them even said he’s too good for them!!
