Arsenal set to send improving Gnabry on loan

Gnabry set for loan move away!

There has been plenty of talk surrounding Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry over the past week, with the German currently lighting up the Olympics for his national side. Gnabry scored six goals in the tournament and shared the Golden Boot, despiting losing the football final on penalties against host nation Brazil.

Gnabry’s efforts in Brazil carry over from the relatively impressive pre-season he had with Arsenal this summer. Although his time with the squad that travelled on tour was short lived, as he missed the final few friendlies due to his commitment to Germany at the Olympics, he showed the fans that despite falling off the grid a little in recent years, that he certainly still does have talent to talk about.

It was uncovered earlier this week that Gnabry is currently being lined up by Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, with the club’s manager expressing his keen attention towards signing the winger. It is however unknown whether they want the German on loan or on a permanent move. Arsenal and Arsene Wenger remain adamant that they want Gnabry to stay at Arsenal and sign a new deal.
Wenger spoke of how Arsenal have invested a lot into Gnabry since his debut came in 2012 and although the winger hasn’t gone on to make too many appearances since then, he has shown to be impressive on the occasions he has played and he works well alongside the more regular first team players.
Gnabry’s issue at Arsenal is that he hasn’t shown enough to keep him in the first team squad on a more consistent basis and if he is to make it at Arsenal in the foreseeable future, then he will need to break ahead of his competition on the wing.

With Gnabry’s contract set to expire at the end of this season, Arsenal are hoping to secure the German youngster down on a new long term contract, before loaning him out again for the 2016-17 season. Hertha Berlin may be a possible option but Wenger may opt to instead send the player out on loan in the Premier League, so he try and gather the necessary experience to play in this domestic competitive league.

  1. And the week of bad decisions continues… Well anyone care to defend Arsenes transfer policy.. just to rub salt in the wounds too we can assume the Mustafi deal is dead Valencia now want his release clause to be met, which isn’t going to be done especially when we refused to pay 5 extra million for Lacazette when they asked…

  2. Personally I think we should keep faith in Rob Holding. It’s in ATTACK we have issues. We have Debuchy and Monreal who can slot into central defence as well. However, up front we don’t have quality and numbers.

  3. Valencia coach Ayestaran “Mustafi is not for sale and will not be leaving the club”
unless Wenger pays release clause which is highly unlikely, we will not get him.
Not sure if Arsene is also looking for any CF, if not then coming Feb, we will be fighting for top-4.

  4. If Gnabry has any sense, he would let his Arsenal contract run down! And triple his wages, else where. ??

Wenger style, it’s ALL about the Money!

    1. I still felt so pity for Joel. AW have been sending him around and round Europe, he’s not even finish one complete season here (correct me). The youngster is actually full of experiences as the result, more than Ox Chamberlain. AW is failing to fill striker and CB we need, now with Gnabry loan out, he even reduced the deepness of our attacking line. Just how bizarre this old man are? If this is a new disease we could call it Wengzheimer.

  5. If Wenger really thinks we can win a title with this squad, then we have a massive problem. With this squad, Arsenal will finish 4th to 7th, with some painful defeats to Chelsea and Man Utd.

    1. Wenger has thought over the last 12 years we’ve been good enough to win the league…… Clearly we haven’t. I’ve heard some pretty pathetic excuses from him during his time at Arsenal, but the 600 employees statement after the Leicester game tops them all. What on earth has that got to do with bringing in the players that we so desperately need? It’s 2016 but it’s like Wenger is stuck in 1996. We are letting the likes of Joel Campbell ( one of our most decent players from last year) leave on loan all season? But we are sticking with the likes of an injury prone Chamberlain and walcott… The player who couldn’t control a football to save his life. So sending Gnabry out on loan would make perfect sense as well ? The club along with Wenger have really messed things up in this transfer window. At least we might get one trophy this season, and the team with most transfer failings go to AFC!!!!

      1. The one season wonder has inspire him. Now Arsene wants Arsenal to win the title in Leicester way. It’ll be fantastic. Hahaha… OMG?!!!
