Arsenal set to sign two stars to boost our season

Arsene Wenger has always maintained that the most important factor in a successful team is to keep your core players in the side for as long as possible. Right now I’m guessing that most Arsenal fans would agree that Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are our two most influential players at the moment, and it would seem that Arsene Wenger agrees.

According to the latest reports both these stars will have just two seasons left on their contracts at the end of the season, and to combat this Arsenal are close to finalizing a new extension for Alexis which will make him overtake Ozil as the highest earner at the club with a nice wage of £155,000. This will a nice compliment to Sanchez for being so influential since he arrived at the Emirates and will probably keep him at the club until the end of his career.

Likewise with Ozil who will also be rewarded, and once the Alexis deal is confirmed it will be hoped that the German will be looking for the same sort of rise for him to sign the same extension as well, while the club will have the boost of signing up our two most foremost players for the forseeable future, well until 2020!

Ozil is currently the highest earner with £140,000-a-week, which is 10k more that Sanchez’s paypacket, so he may be looking to leapfrog the Chilean again to get £160,000+plus per week.

These wages are pushing Arsene Wenger’s wage ceilings to the limit, but possibly we can now afford the extra expense de to our extra profits and the fact that Wenger saves the club money in every transfer window….

  1. “Arsenal set to sign two stars to boost our season” click bait once again …
Anyway, I would like us to table 25-30M on Mane of Southampton … He is really that good …

        1. Give them an offer they cannot refuse … If it might give us the long lost EPL trophy, then it is a worthy gamble …

      1. “who’s place will he take in the starting line up?” We have only one reliable winger, Sanchez … Mane will give us another dimension and will relief some pressure off Sanchez shoulder … Suppose we have Mane now, I would be less worried not starting Sanchez next weekend …

        1. But would Mane like to lose the precious first team oppurtunities at Saints he is getting now knowing he will be benched most of the time.

And its not about money, its about Koeman keeping the team intact. He has lost so many important players already. And he rejected bids for Mane and Wanayama already in the summer.

          1. Are you kidding! did you watch him play for Southampton … Only Sanchez can bench him … As a winger he is better than Ramsey, Ox, Walcott, and Welbeck combined … In Arsenal, him and Sanchez can easily guaranteed their positions and the rest will have to work their socks off to dispossess them …

            1. Ok fine. Lets for argument sake(though that not will be surely true) say that he will displace anyone of the above mentioned Arsenal players. Still can you see Koeman selling him to us while he just rejected a summer bid from Man Utd? If he was open for sale, Man Utd will have no hesitation in outbidding us.

    1. Thank you..I have said the same thing quite a few times..Mane would be perfect for us..can play anywhere across the front three, young, knows the league already, amazing work rate and always plays well in the big games..can provide cover for Alexis and provide competition to Ramsey/Oxlade//he was unsettled in the summer as Koeman openly admitted//if we do make an offer we could get him in Jan.

  2. Again a very misleading title baby Please

I thought it meant we were signing new players as I believe Alexis and Mesut are already signed with us.

Title should have read “Two Arsenal Stars set to extend their contracts” or “Two Arsenal Stars set to Sign new contract to boost our season” or something to that effect

Anyway, very happy if it happens. OZIL and Alexis are AWESOME and we need to keep them at all costs

  3. when did justarsenal plunge into such low depths to get clicks? how hard was it for the writer to simply state Arsenal are to extend the contracts of so and so? Is misleading your viewers Admin what you have decided is the best way for you and your site? ok. ok.

  4. Hahaha hahaha ???

Why are some of you moaningHO about the title of this article? ???

You should know full well that Wenger doesn’t sign anyone in November! ??
