Arsenal hope to sell Gabriel Martinelli to Al Hilal during this transfer window and have been in talks with the Saudi Pro League side while keeping the attacker out of their team.
Martinelli has not been named in a matchday squad this season, which is a clear sign that he is not in Arsenal’s plans for this campaign. As a result, he appears to be close to leaving the club.
The Brazilian wants to stay and fight for his place and has rejected a move to Galatasaray because he wants to at least play in one of the top European leagues this season.
Arsenal Push for Martinelli Exit
However, Arsenal want him to leave and are not particularly concerned about his next club, as long as they receive a fee they are willing to accept. A move to Saudi Arabia would be the most profitable option for the Gunners.
Martinelli has been more open to a move to Al Hilal and has been in talks with the Pro League side. However, the Daily Mail says he is yet to agree to their terms.
Al Hilal Face Personal Terms Issue
The Saudi team are in talks with Martinelli and Arsenal at the same time, but the main issue could be on the player’s side. The two clubs may be able to reach an agreement over a transfer, but Martinelli must also be convinced that moving to Al Hilal is the right decision for his career.
This is why Arsenal will not be impressed that the attacker is yet to agree personal terms with the Saudi side. The Gunners are keen to complete his departure and will want the situation resolved as soon as possible.
Martinelli’s preference to remain in Europe could therefore become a significant factor in determining whether the move goes through. Arsenal appear ready to allow him to leave, while Al Hilal continue negotiations with both the club and the player.
For now, the situation remains unresolved, with Martinelli still needing to reach an agreement with Al Hilal before the transfer can be completed. Arsenal will hope that those discussions progress quickly so they can finalise the attacker’s departure.

Maybe I’ve become a bit of a soft guy, because I have a bit of a hard time saying goodbye to Martinelli. His stats in the PL are not that good, I know, but he was terrific in the Champions League. After all, Martinelli has been instrumental in Arsenal being where they are now.
I think anyone who has any sort of a heart will feel sad to see Martinelli leave us. Doesn’t make you a softy, it makes you a good person.
Nelli has been a core player for us for the last 7 years as we have risen to the top. That will never be forgotten. 100% loyal club servant, dogged and dangerous presence on the field, and shown so much passion for helping us win (maybe a little too much in a couple of notable instances, haha). His time with us will end with the highest domestic honour, an English league trophy, and the eternal respect and appreciation of fans for his total dedication and service in turning around the fortunes of this club and making us a real powerhouse again. He’s also handled the situation professionally and honourably and deserves our support for that.
Nelli’s definitely not going to Eyelash – it would be a terrible move for him at this stage of his career.

I at least hope we’re not on here this time next year griping about Alvarez trying to force a move to Barca at a discount from what we’re about to pay no doubt.
If he actually comes (seems there are family reasons making him want to stay in Spain), and turns out to be a spark that helps win us the Champions League, and/or a domestic treble, then a temporary stint will be fine with me 😉
I doubt if his coming or not would be the difference in us being able to do either of those things as opposed to falling short; but, if that were somehow properly considered to be the case, then much of his cost would be defrayed.
I am not sure that Alvarez is the answer to our problems , he is small so not a physical presence , he is good on the ball but so is Odegaard and Havertz and he doesn’t score goals , only 8 last season in La Liga out of 29 games. About the same as Havertz 9 in 25 games when he wasn’t injured.
He may not score many goals but he’s likely to make everyone around him score more goals because of his link up play and creativity.
Remember,Arsenal have scored the most goals in a Premier League season in 23/24(91goals) and 22/23(88 goals). In those seasons,we played with Havertz and Jesus respectively.
It’s clear that Arteta teams score more goals with a false 9 type centre forward. I’m okay with a CF who scores just 15 goals but in addition,makes the entire team score more.

In the football food chain where The Prem is supreme, other leagues Farmers Leagues, below them is distillation plant league played in a sandpit in a medieval country.
Let Nelli, Jesus etc sign for other Prem Clubs – if you don’t want them anymore, why should you control where they go, send them to the sandpit with all that impact in their football career?
This is wrong. The very togetherness and fight that made us title winners is being destroyed here chasing “best team in world for now and ever and ever” status.
I am calling on Richard Garlick to resign. Trophy’s are won on fighting spirit. Spreadsheet Football “everyone can go at the right offer” does not fighting spirit or a community club make.
I understand the point you’re making but at the end of the day,Arsenal have to sell a major asset to balance the books. The club may have gone about it the wrong way but there was always going to be a painful departure.

I know it’s impossible for us fans to work out, because the media mislead us suggesting all payments paid there and then but so many transfers are stage payments spread over quite a few years. So even a summer you spent lightly you are still paying stage payments from budget for transfers years before.
There’s the other weird part of transfers – you don’t get to see full amount of sales. You would guess Newcastle are now rolling in money, but they have raised very little from sales this summer. Seriously crazy the truth innit?

Moon Girl, while we’re ok with the PL FFP, it’s the UEFA regulations we are close to breaking. That’s why we need to sell a major asset.
Thank you. But Isn’t PL FFP much tighter than the UEFA regulations? Chelsea broke the UEFA this summer but it doesn’t stop them, punishment it’s just a little spank isn’t it out of proportion with the gains from pushing the rules?
The PL punishment for breaching FFP is tougher than UEFAs, but UEFAs FFP limit is lower than the PLs.
What about my point, why not let our players go to other Premier League clubs – Martinelli to Newcastle, Jesus to Everton etc? Man City never been as squeamish about that as MA. It’s that part of MA policy that’s stopping a few deals here, isn’t it?
Have Newcastle put a bid in for Martinelli, and have Everton put a bid in for Jesus ?
We’ve sold players to other PL clubs, ESR to Fulham, Willock to Newcastle, Nkethia to Palace under Mikel. So no, there’s no policy by Mikel to not sell to PL clubs.

I cant wait for this whole drama to end, I believe we need a Lwinger over alvarez as he’s not a winger and now that martinelli is going we need a winger even more, we’ve needed a Lwinger since last season for it was obviously our achilles heel. And signing of tzolis is not enough and i dont see eze shining in that role coz we he was shying away(surprisingly) from playing there against Coventry.
It calls for worry but arteta won the league so I want to trust they know what they are doing
