Arsenal starlet set for Premier League debut?

When one door close another one opens so they say and the lengthy Arsenal injury list that Arsene Wenger has to come with at the minute means that the door to the first team could be opened to a few of the young Gunners at the club for the game away to West Brom this weekend.

After we heard that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had suffered a setback, although it is thankfully just a small one, to his recovery from the hamstring problem he picked up against Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One cup, a Daily Mail report suggested that this could see some unfamiliar names on the Arsenal bench at the Hawthorns today.

One in particular that the report picked out was the 16-year old midfielder Vlad Dragomir who joined the club this summer. He has captained the Romania national team at under 16 level and is a technically gifted and attack minded player with an eye for goal and the versatility to be able to play through the middle or on the flanks.

With Wenger’s options severely restricted in these areas, Dragomir was brought in to train with the first team this week along with some other young Gunners like Jeff Reine-Adelaide, so could we see the young Romanian make his Premier League debut today?
