Arsenal stars proving Wenger right with loan moves

There are more than just the two Arsenal players out on loan at the moment and you can check out how the likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Glen Kamara and all are doing on the Arsenal website, but for now I want to focus on the Gunners that have gone on loan but stayed in the English Premier League, as Jack Wilshere and Calum Chambers are the two most likely to come back and have good football careers with Arsenal.

There were a few eyebrows raised over both of these loan moves and with our history of injury problems I would not have been surprised to see Arsene Wenger veto their moves away from north London just in case we needed them. Only time will tell whether the Frenchman will end up regretting that decision but for now they are where they are and we can only hope that their spells with AFC Bournemouth and Middlesborough will do help them.

It is so far, so good really for both of our loanees. Chambers has played the full 90 minutes of the last two league games and is settling in well and beginning to impress while picking up the valuable experience that a centre back in the EPL needs. I think we can safely say that he would not have played for us if he had stayed with Mustafi and Koscielny doing so well.

I have seen some negative comments about the impact Wilshere has had for the Cherries but come on, he is still not even fit enough to complete 90 minutes. He is now starting games though and has played 244 minutes over four matches, so even though he missed a good chance at the weekend his impact is growing. Once his fitness is there I think his form will follow and this season is all about Jack getting regular game time. Once again I doubt he would have got any had he stayed.

So up until now Wenger’s decision to let these two talented young Gunners go and play for someone else is paying off. Do you think both have a future at Arsenal?
