Arsenal targets on show in crunch Germany – Poland match-up 1

Poland take on Germany in tonight’s crunch group game, in which the winner will guarantee themselves within the knock-out stages.

The game will see the two neighbouring countries go toe-to-toe for the third time in recent years, having also been drawn in the same group in qualifying. Poland won their home encounter 2-0, while the Germans came away with a 3-1 home win also, leaving this tie wide open on neutral soil.

Arsenal fans will have the chance to see a huge number of supposed targets during the match, with as many as 10 players in the squads that are linked with our club.

Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik has already got off the mark in the tournament, netting the only goal of Poland’s opening win, and is continuing his fine run of form from his club this season to his country. We look set to miss out on both Vardy and Morata’s signatures at present, and may be forced to look elsewhere,so why not this young prospect?

Another Pole in midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is also linked with a possible move to the Emirates, having seriously impressed since joining three-time Europa League winners Sevilla two years ago. Should we miss out on Leicester’s Kante, he could be high on our agenda this summer also.

German defender Jerome Boateng is next on the list, having been linked with a switch to Arsenal previously also. The centre-back is extremely highly-rated, but seems unlikely to become available. Mats Hummels is set to arrive at Bayern Munich this summer enhancing competition for places, but I would not assume Boateng would be the one to suffer…

Julian Draxler has previously been described as a long-term target for the Gunners, and still remains only 22 years-of-age. The winger has shown to be an exciting player, but he has had a couple of tough injuries in his career, which has likely prevented his switch from happening thus far.

Another German midfielder in Mario Gotze has also been linked with the switch, and speculation is refusing to bow despite recent claims he was going nowhere. Bayern have also threatened legal action on those who are claiming he will be left out of their Champions League squad, but that has not stopped reporters from writing it.

Who would you most like from this coveted bunch?
