Arsenal to get BIG title help from Barcelona?

There is still a chance for Arsenal to finish the season strongly and end up with second place in the Premier League. But apart from the FA cup final, a lot of the focus for Arsenal will now be turning to the summer transfer window and the chance to reclaim the Premier League title next year.

As well as challenging us for that second spot, Man City are likely to be one of our big rivals for the Premier League trophy, although how strong a rival they will be could depend a lot on how well their own transfer business goes in the summer. That is why we could be set to get a big helping hand from Barcelona.

The Catalan club, according to a Daily Star report, have entered the bidding for the Juventus and France international star Paul Pogba, apparently offering 80 million euros and the chance for Juventus to use him until their transfer restrictions are lifted in January.

Pogba is being lined up by Man City to replace Yaya Toure and if they get him it would give them a much better chance of winning the league next year, in my opinion. Without Pogba they will struggle to replace their enigmatic and powerful Ivory Coast international and that can only be good for the Gunners. So cross your fingers that Barca win this transfer battle Gooners!

  1. Lets stop relying on help from other clubs! “We are arsenal ” lets take of business, sign the right players and make a fight of it towards winning the title next season! Coyg!

    1. Though i agree somewhat, there are still the teams that are truly in the top-bracket which we, unfortunately, are not there yet.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Juve will still have a large impact in the transfer market when it comes to the top-tier of talent. It’s just the way it goes…
It’s not necessarily a bad thing, Ozil and Sanchez have both been products of their transfer activity and anyone who complains about that is quite simply crazy!! Any of Pogba’s rumoured destinations will most likely deem world-class players surplus to requirements. Who knows? This summer we may have another surprise..

      1. if they cant be registered means they cant play…..

why would players join them then?

        1. Although hafiz talks a lot of crap , this actually makes sense doubtful pogba will wanna wait till jan to play

        2. And you don’t think is wise idea to secure his signature and still allow him be with Juv?

        3. They can buy players and keep them where they are until their ban is over,im sure pogba wont mind 1 more yr at juve if it means he lines up behind suarez, neymar and messi afterwards.

  2. The more I think about it i’m genuinely excited by Milner as a potential signing.
The guys a work-horse who can not play for weeks then come in when needed and consistently give 7/10 performances when needed.
Covers multiple positions where are players are prone to spells on the injury table and a renowned training machine.
Links well with City’s creators and is direct with a pretty mean ball in.
I think he’d be an excellent signing and a definite upgrade on a few players in the squad.

    1. Same page. Remember listening to Keown say we need players like that of Parlour and himself a certain attitude and i think Milner falls into that – just never gives up and will give everything to win which is all you can ask.

  3. Barca don’t need Pogba.
    They will win La Liga
and are in the ECL final.
Why can’t they go one season
without buying an 80 mill player
especially with FFP coming in now?
Is it just to please the fans or what?
So one assumes Barca has to sell to buy
    so any one we need?

    1. Haha they didn’t ‘need’ Suarez either but they got him.
Real Madrid didn’t ‘need’ Rodriquez, Kroos or Illaramendi.

The spanish clubs are as much empires as they are football clubs and even if they spent 80mil on Pogba, the merchandising alone would probably offset 3/4 of his fee.
Barcelona have Samper and Roberto who are deemed the next big thing by a lot of the Barcelona fans. With Rakitic’s inclusion and if they brought in Pogba surely they’d see their first team opportunities diminish.
Madrid’s midfield is absolutely stacked as well with Isco voicing discontent. Modric, Kroos, Illaramendi as well may struggle to fit in.
As I said above, a lot of the top-tier of talent depends on the behemoth club’s movements.
Who knows? there is also a plethora of talent in the Bundesliga… There are a few players that are safe to rule out. But Wenger will have plenty of places to do his shopping.

  4. what an unneccessary article . have we stooped this low at arsenal that we are hoping and praying that clubs outside of england will buy up players in front of our rivals !. oh boy oh boy . this is arsenal , one of the biggest clubs in the world , on paper anyways that is .we should be ashamed of ourselves if we are thinking like this now . imagine if we heard of our rival clubs fans doing and think the same thing , we would be on here moaning like little children .sport seems to have left arsenal football club of late , and i mean that from the fans all the way up to the mamagement .there was a time when it was either the arsenal way , or no way . we are a very proud club , and for somebody to suggest this crap goes below all that is sacred in sport . that is like wishing some of our rival clubs players were injured !!, and laughing at these injuries . please lets bring back sport into our beautiful game .

    1. Opposing fans do revel in our misfortune and missing out on top targets is very misfortunate. Liv where gutted when Sanchez chose us over them and it made up a little from that Suarez fiasco but no doubt che manu and manc fans where chuffed we missed Suarez.
